Townsfolk With A Golden Heart

Adrien felt pain, pain like he never felt before. He placed his hand over his wound yet felt a cloth over it, not caring much about it he continued. After sitting up and searching for his shirt and placing it he stumbled outside the house. After walking for a while he ended up in the middle of the town asking everyone where he was, most of them ended up ignoring him and continuing there day like nothing just happened. He continued walking until he heard his horse run through town see him. After a smile and a hug with his steed a elder asian man walked to where I was and greeted me to the City of Langres. He was far from his destination. It would seem the 'Dreaming Knight' was takin far from his route. The man simply known as Master Fu told him that after being injured at the City of Bourges the townsfolk did there best to help but it wasn't enough so they transported him on horseback for three days nonstop to be healed. It would seem he was knocked out for two days and arrived at night so most of the people didn't even know I was there, that is why no one paid attention as the Knight stumbled across the streets.

They walked together back to his home. He served a cup of tea and asked about his great journey, he told me that during a few minutes of my sleep I would speak of my quest and never stop speaking of My Lady. I told him in Paris there was a story merchants would tell of a woman that would sing a song so beautiful it would make you forget everything else in the world except of her and her voice. After a long talk explaining that his intention were pure in act and mind, the man stood up. Fu asked of the Knight to wait for a minute as he went to the back of his home to bring a pentagonal box, in the center there was a simbol. The Ying and Yang. He removed the Ying simbol and opened it revealing a bulky black ring. After Adrien starred at him with a face of doubt for a while Master Fu just said it was a good luck charm, as he put it: "When the time comes, this miraculous little charm may even save your life". After that Nino opened the door and told me that we should get going we were five days behind schedule.

He walked up to his agitated friend and hugged him and told him to relax, they would leave the next day at the crack of dawn. It seemed like a great weight was lifted from the young squire's shoulders as he slowly sat down in a chair and his head reclined against the wall. Master Fu gave him also a cup of tea and said a almost inaudible 'thank you'. We sat at the table once more. Master Fu asked the squire what were his intentions in this unique quest. Nino answered it was for his friend, Adrien, and for the stories to tell his sons and after them his grandsons. The same box from before was placed once more on the table and from the green box Fu took out a small jade turtle and handed it to Nino. He told him: "As I told Adrien, this amulet will protect you and it might also save you one day." After the delicious tea and a very friendly talk they bowed and left the house to go to the nearby pub.

Nino was the first to order something as strong as it gets. As Adrien order a glass of water the nice owner brought us some cocked mutton. The townsfolk observed us and asked about our journeys through out the lands. We told of the kingdom we came from and all the cities nearby. We told them of the people, the riches of the land and all the wonders we could possibly remember. After some time a more than a few stories later we asked for a room to stay. We where guided to the second floor of the pub, a spacious room was separated for us. A thaked the lady as Nino and I entered the room.

As I placed my armor on the floor and my sword by my bed I thought I could hear the wonderful voice of My Lady. True music. Just as I was starting to enjoy it the melody ended. After sometime I decided to finally rest. My vision began to fade away but this time I was calmed and it was relaxing, just like My Lady's voice ...

A/N: First Author's Notes, OK, I cant screw up. Hello people of Wattpad!!! I hope that this story is good enough for all you readers standards (all two of you, thank you for reading my first story). I will try my best to make the best out of this and not wast your time.
