My name is Mary Archway, I just moved to Mississippi. I am 17 years old. And I have a severe case of bad luck. Today is my first day of school and I don't want to screw it up. I am hoping to make atleast one friend this year.
I am on my way to school and the trees are so beautiful. But then I saw him. He definitely was a sight for sore eyes. But I know I'll never be able to talk to him because the bad luck will just pass to him. So there go's that idea.
Now that I am at school I am very lonely because no one will talk to me because they are scared that "the curse" will be passed onto them. But that is everyday life for me.
I am in my homeroom and I see that the boy is in it as well. I am so nervous because I want to talk to him but I bet that he won't talk to me. He is talking to some people and I learned a few things about him. His favorite color is blue, he loves nature and his name is Marcus Belle. I love the name Belle.
As I was looking and listening to the boy, class started and I did not realize. The teacher immediately called my name and yelled at me. Just my luck, the first day and i was yelled by the teacher already. My homeroom is ELA and so I just got to read. The teacher and the class thought I wouldn't do well on the before school test so that's why I had to read.
As I was reading my book I happened to look outside at the forest. And as I looked I saw someone go into the forest. I wondered what they were doing. As I was thinking the teacher started to talk to us about being safe when we go out side. She said that there have been multiple murders. " Um, Miss what do you mean by murders?" I asked " Oh there have been multiple people that were killed in the woods just this and last week. But no one knows who does it...."
