When the Real Story Begins

Chapter 2: Wind

Emma was left completely shell shocked as she sat frozen to her seat. "Good job savior. Now that you know that I'm here, what are you going to do?" Poseidon asked. His expression was unreadable but she didn't find him insinuating a threat by the question, it came across more curious then anything else.

"That depends on what you are here for. If you plan on causing trouble for anyone here like your brother did, then I can't very well let you stay here."

Poseidon smiled further "It's not very wise to challenge a God Emma." Again, his expression remained unreadable and had not altered. "Further, I mean no harm to you, none of my family does, it's been a long time since we have had the opportunity to interact with anyone outside Olympus. You defeated the evil, opened the door for us to make the journey."

"Us?" Emma picked up a bit more alarmed. "It's not only you?"

"I was the last person to decide to join the family here, yes a number of us have been arriving over the past few days. I had settled on remaining out of the fun until someone reminded me of who all is here." It seemed Poseidon was being intentionally vague and directing the conversation in the way that didn't force him to reveal anything, as if he had to anyway. Emma realized the position she was here being necessarily on her own made her incredibly vulnerable, these were after all the Greek gods, there was a good chance one of them could over power her. And if memory served, Poseidon was one of the three original brothers. "It's my job to keep the people here safe". She began keeping her tone neutral "If you or anyone means them any harm then your stay isn't welcomed".

He remained unaffected, "Trust me when I say that at least, do not wish to cause any trouble for you or the people of this... quaint town. I can't promise the same for everyone, it's hard to know in my family what everyone's intentions are. They are rarely intentionally destructive but our presence tends to have unforeseen consequences." He moved from his chair and threw a couple dollars onto the table. "I'll do my best to keep my relatives in line." Poseidon said as if it was his way of saying goodbye and quailing Emma's concerns.

After he left it wasn't an hour later before Emma had gathered everyone together at Regina's office. Rumple, her parents, Killian, Regina and Zelena all stood expectantly. "It's awful late for this Emma." Regina commented gruffly. "Could this have no waited until the morning at the very least?"

"Honestly." Zelena added. "Nothing that big could warrant waking everyone up like this anymore." She spoke as she continued to cradle an asleep Robyn in her arms, wrapped in a pink throw.

Rumple though looked at her intently, he looked unusually pale as if he'd seen some sort of ghost. "We have visitors." Emma started which caused everyone to freeze and look at her. "Hades relatives are in town."

"Like the Greek gods?" Snow White asked doubtfully.

Killian looked a bit more concerned and shifted uneasily, "Zeus is here?"

"I don't know who all is here, they have been arriving over the past couple days apparently. At least, according to Poseidon. Who was sitting having a coffee at Granny's tonight."

Regina narrowed her eyes and sat in the chair behind her desk, "What would they want?"

"This could end very bad." Rumple started. "The God's don't usually intentionally destroy things unless they've been disrespected, often it is because of mischief by playing with people like toys. The power of the original trinity on their own out powers mine, the other god's it varies but we are at a disadvantage here."

"Poseidon claimed for him, it was for a fresh start." Emma said uneasily, sticking her hands into her jean pockets, focused on Rumple's reaction. For him of all people to be concerned...
