Spirited Mark

Chapter 5: Date?

Ann's POV:

It was morning , 8:35 am. I was going to wake Mark up but I might wake up Sean when I knocked at his door. So I chose to sneak in Sean's room and wake Mark up. I whispered in his ear, "Meet me at the bridge. I'll be waiting for you." After I left Sean's room, I sneakily went out the main entrance. The mansion won't start opening until 10:00 am. 

Mark's POV:

I woke up by Miss Ann's voice as I quickly change into my working clothes. When I exit to the main entrance, I saw a girl that wore everything black, but somehow her dress had some red and blue on it, including white. Her hair was long and black that covered her eyes. She was staring at me. I waved her to say hello, but she stood there and did nothing. I ignored her and went to the bridge. As I look back to see if she was still there, she was gone. Miss Ann was waiting for me. "Come on, follow me." she ordered. I followed her and figured out that we were going to a farm. The farm had all the animals, fishes all types(predators and passives go in different  aquariums), exotic animals, and other creatures I've never seen before, which I didn't have time to question Miss Ann about that. Both of us were sitting at a bench right in front of the aquarium. I thought it was a pretty view to see the fishes swimming around the tank. "Here, take and eat this." she said. It was a box of sushi with chopsticks and soy sauce to go with it. I ate one. It wasn't that bad, but the soy sauce kinda made the sushi more salty. I ate everything except for the dressing. the box faded away when I was done. Since Miss Ann and I were alone, I needed to have some time to talk to her and to get to know her. "Sooooo...........how are you doing?" I questioned while I was blushing at her(I never was this close to a girl before, plus I never talk to them). "Oh, its fine." she answered in a sigh. I was getting nervous from this conversation and wanted to get out of here, but I might be rude if I leave her, so I made my best move. "Aaaaaaaaa..........why did you save me?" I said in an awkward voice. "Because you reminded me someone who changed my life before I was Mr. Paul"s assistant." she continued  "And that your a human who is stuck in our world, like an alien that can never go home." I stared at her in silence. "O-ok" I replied in awkwardness. "Can you tell me more about yourself?" I answered. "Well, I was a quiet girl. I had a family with many siblings I don't know. I was the youngest in my family. My father left with our mom to take care of us. I wanted to find my dad but my mother refuse to let me do it. And that's when the demons took over our home. Everything.  I was separated with my family and was taken by demons. Good thing was that I escaped before they killed me. I was left alone stranded in a middle of nowhere in the sea until." She paused. "I don't want to talk more about this." she nervously spoke. We both didn't said anything but just stare at the tank right in front of us until it was 9:40 am. "I suppose that you should be going ." Miss Ann said. "Y-yeah" responded. I wave goodbye to Miss Ann and walked back to the mansion. As I thought about her and walking on the bridge, I felt a wind pushing me. When I looked back at the sky, I saw a shape like dragon flowing up the sky. I questioned myself,"Ann's a dragon?". It felt weird to me. I knew I known her from somewhere, but who is she? She doesn't talk about her life a lot, she's kinda mysterious. Why would she want to meet me privately? Is this some kind of date we're having? I wanted answers, but it was almost time for work. I went inside. This will be the toughest day in my life!
