Tools to start with

You obviously need a tool to start designing your work. I mostly use my laptop for designing so mobile phone users, this may not be for you. I used pixlr but if you are just starting out and you need an easier option canva is a good option.

Canva has templates, vector, fonts all premade for you. Canva does not have very advances tools though.

I prefer using Pixlr cause uh...I cant afford Adobe but from having used Adobe before I feel that both pixlr and Adobe have very similar features.

some other tools I have heard about but never used are-

-picmonkey

-picsart (mobile phone)

-pixlr app (not as many features as the pixlr site)

-crello

-designbold

-snappa

To make gifs you might wanna try-

- Giphy

-Lunapic

Other than a good tool you will also need good pictures, textures, and fonts. Pictures and textures can be found on google with a search but what about fonts. well to use good fonts you need to install them.

You can start off by finding the font you want. Try websites like Behance, Dafonts, and 1001fonts. they all have a wide range of fonts and a good amount of fonts which are free. Do your research!

Canva has a few articles about the kinda of fonts you can get. I went through most of these fonts and find that about eighty percent are free.

This place features all sorts of articles for different fonts - https://www.canva.com/learn/font-design/

Finding your resources is very important

Tip 1# if you are browsing and find a picture you think you can use SAVE IT! it keeps away the trouble to look for the picture all over again when you need it. Having saved pictures can also give you inspiration.

Tip 2# Find a good designer who has a similar style to your style and saves their work if necessary. For extra practice, you might wanna try and replicate their work. You don't have to replicate it to the T but try to get a similar feel.

Tip 3# Try to join contests or be part of the Multimedia Designs club. You might stumble upon some really good contests. I know that  @projecthumanity hold graphic competitions on issues in the world right now. Most of the time contests on graphics will be featured on MDC (multimedia Designs Club).
