As the real night begins, she finds herself caring too deeply about it, losing him and loving him.

-

He lays next to her, legs touching carefully. Skin brushing against skin, drowning them in hesitation and wonder. Curiosity spreading through their bodies, but most importantly, affection inundating their thoughts.

The night had just begun and they had already fallen the way he wished they would fall. But why had it taken so long?

He turned to face her, but her face seemed blurry and distant, almost as if she wasn't physically there. Her warmth prevailed within him, but he wasn't connected to her world.

She turned to face him, but he looked neutral and distant, almost as if he wasn't emotionally there. His compassion wrapped her complete, but she wasn't bounded to his thoughts.

They didn't accept the lack of feelings, they were rather drowning in emotion and desire. He took her hand and she felt it, but he didn't feel hers. She touched his cheek, tenderly with nothing but fear of losing him, she didn't feel it.

Why was it so hard to love?

All of a sudden, they were both up, dancing slowly. Her head laid on his heart, and she felt it. It was not only palpitating, but it was dancing with her too. His nose rumbled through her hair, as he inhaled ecstasy filled his lungs, her passion was drowning him.

They smiled and everything seemed natural again. No fear between them, no worries and no burdens.

-

She smiled in her sleep. She dreamed and dreamed and dreamed because she could no longer wake up.

The shade of the moon shined in her room, kissed her face as it made its way through the window. It glimmered in a morose manner, revealing the sorrow that prowled in the streets under the face of the moon and its glow.

He lost her face, her hands, her legs, her eyes, her lips... But he didn't lose her warmth, or her affection, her smile or her words. He lost her, but not her love.

She lost him, his whole entity and aspect of existence. But she didn't know. She left without regret or lament because she left without memories.
