"It's dark, too dark. I can't see anything."
"Don't worry dearie, you'll be all right. Just a little shot"
"No, no. they'll get me. Please,PLEASE turn the lights on."
"Alice, you know I can't do that. You know Dr. Lester's orders. If I turn the light on, the medicine won't work."
"NOOOOOOOOO! They're coming for me! PLEASE PLEASE!!!"
But no one turned on the lights. I lay in my bed. I heard the door open, then slam shut. The nurse was gone. She has wanted to leave. I am her least favorite. Can you believe it? They think I'm crazy? At least I still have you Mr. Rabbit. You won't leave again, right? You can't...
Just yesterday I was in "wonderland" as they call it. I think they made it too nice of a name. It's a horrifying place, and I hate it when they drag me back. Whenever I close my eyes, they are there waiting for me.
"Mr. Rabbit, I'm tired, yet I don't want to go to sleep. What ever shall I do?"
"Just sleep..."
That's exactly what I did. I trusted Mr. Rabbit. Until that night...
"Oh, Alice! Come to visit us again? I knew you would be back!" said the darkened creature I couldn't make out.
"No! I want to leave! I'm not supposed to be here. Dr. Lester said you would be gone!"
"And you actually listened to him? When has he ever been right? You're home Alice, here is where you belong."
"No it's not!" At this point I was screaming trying to wake myself up. Nope, nothing. "Please, please I want out of here."
"Never my darling. Why would you want to leave Wonderland?"
"There is no such thing as your said "Wonderland". You're a dream killer, a life ruiner."
"Oh Alice, Alice dear. Ha. You're so funny. That's no way to treat your caretaker. Would you like some tea?"
"Absolutely NOT!"
At this point I had figured out the mysterious creatures identity, Hare. I tried desperatly to wriggle my way out of this situation, but I couldn't. I have been chained to the wall, and my wrists most likely had bruises on them from hanging so long. I forced my mouth shut as the Hare tried to feed me the tea. Instead of dripping off of my mouth, it hit my black, ripped dress.
"Oh Alice, stop struggling. It won't do you any good."
*splat* My spit flew straight into his blood-thirsty eyes. He was angered by this. I couldn't help but feel a little pride in myself.
"ALICE!"
I had awaken from the so called "night terror". At least that was what Dr. Lester had called them. They were more than that though. They were much worse. I could get hurt. I have before. I stared at Rabbit. He had led me into those red eyes I had gazed into before I "woke up". Why would he do such a thing.
"Rabbit, why?"
"Alice go back to them, go back. You can stop all this madness if you just go back. I'll lead the way."
There was something in me that made me trust this little stuffed rabbit with his pocket watch and coat. I couldn't put my finger on it though.
"Okay Rabbit. I trust you..."
