The last time I went to a funeral, was when I was 13 years old for my parents. It wasn't the best experience. Everyone was just saying sorry for my lost, and that everything will be okay, again... first, I didn't know why the hell they were apologizing. Second, at the moment I thought they were lying that everything will be okay, but they were right about that. I just thought I wouldn't make it this far without them, but I guess today is the day I need them the most.
I hear someone knock on my bedroom door, I look up at the reflection of my mirror seeing him. I give him a sad smile, as he does the same walking over to me. I turn so we are face to face.
"Ready?" Stefan asked. Knowing that, that isn't what I wanted to hear from him. Of course I wasn't ready. But if the situation was the other way around I wouldn't know what to say to him either.
"Thank you for coming." I began, "And spending your time with me."
He places his hand on each side of my arm, "Hey... of course. I'm glad I did, you needed someone and I'm here for you."
I begin to tear up, "It's just b-been... it's just been so hard."
He wraps his arms around me, and I do them same. Sobbing on his shoulder knowing that I'm leaving tear stains, I didn't mean to, and I know he knows that. He slowly pulls away, wiping my tears.
"Let's go." He whispers. As we walk out together, heading to the church.
A year ago. I was sitting there, realizing that I'm making a huge commitment. I hear someone knock on my door, I get up from my chair walking over to open the door to see Stefan.
I smile, "Hey! What are you doing up here? Aren't you suppose to be downstairs with the rest of the guest?"
"Yeah." He clears his throat, "I just wanted to see you before you walked down the aisle. I don't think I'll have the chance to speak to you after the wedding."
I knew he was sort of right, I mean about two-hundred people are here and my goal is to try to have small convos with all them, just to thank them for coming and all. I couldn't help but see Stefan is starring at my dress.
"Yeah. Not really my choice, but his mother loved it so did mine." I giggle.
"Yeah. But, you still look beautiful." He complimented me.
"Aw, thanks." As I was going to continue someone appears behind him.
"Olivia. We have to start." My soon to be sister-in-law told me. I nod, she quickly runs off.
Stefan sighs walking over, placing his hand on my back, "Good luck." He places a kiss on my cheek, barley missing my lip walking away, and I couldn't help but stare at him in confusion.
"Damon." I sigh, hugging him and he pulls away and gives me this concerned look.
"How are you holding up?"
I take my shades off, "Barley holding." I tell him, showing him my red puffy eyes. He gives me a small smile, as he grabs on to my hand.
All three of us walk inside the church each Salvatore by my side. Damon, being Damon let's go of my hand for a second so he could dip his fingers in the holy water, symbolizing the cross. I couldn't help but eye him, as he just smirks at me amused of what he just did.
As we sit down at the front of the church seeing his picture right there, with him smiling widely, as I remember that I took that photo, it was such a beautiful day. So it was when it began, we sat together, and I hear people cry, and I see people cry except for Stefan, and Damon.
