Author's POV

"(Your Name), are you ready?" asked (Your Name)'s brother, Alexander, peeking through the door to her room.

"Yes I am," (Your Name) answered without looking away from her reflection on the mirror.

"May I come in?" Alexander asked.

"Yes you may," She said, still not looking away from her mirror.

He entered and walked towards her. As her older brother, he cared about her and wanted the best for her. But at times he couldn't be there and solve all her problems.

Alexander put his hand on her shoulder. (Your Name) turned her head to see her sibling with her red eyes from all the tears she shed last night.

"I tried to persuade them, I really tried. Even Milton tried. Please don't hate us," Alexander said.

"I understand. I'll still love you both regardless," (Your Name) said.

Second after, Milton, the eldest brother came to the room.

"We should probably go down stairs. The guards said they are on their way," Milton said, then leaving.

(Your Name) stood up from her chair she was sitting on and brushed her silky dress off. Alexander held out his hand and his sister took it. He could tell that she was nervous, angry, betrayed, etc. Of course he didn't want his little sister marry a guy she did not enjoyed the presence of. Neither did he and his brother liked him either, but his parents, uncles, aunts, grandparents... almost every adult in the family liked him except one grandma, Sophia.

Grandma Sophia sees his flaws easily, even through his smooth words, handsome face, the 'positives' he had. He was obnoxious, aggressive, possessive, impulsive, etc.

Alexander and (Your Name) walked through the hallway and went down the wide, beautiful, blue and gold stairs. (Your Name)'s eyes looked dull, not her beautiful (your eye color) orbs she always had. It had no shine, they were cold.

When they reached to the first floor, her parents were waiting there along with Milton. Knights with shining armor stood straight outside the long, thin rug that ran from the end of the stairs to the front doors of the castle.

"You look beautiful (Your Name)," her father complimented.

"Agreed, they did a great job on you," her mother spoke.

"Thank you," (Your Name) said. Her voice sounded lifeless, like her soul left her body.

"Are you ready?" Asked her father. She nodded.

Milton stood by (Your Name)'s right side and Alexander on her left side. Her parents walked out the fine dark oak doors first held by two male butlers, one on each side. Then (Your Name) and her older siblings came out the doors. She held her hands in front of her neatly on her thighs. They waited a few minutes then the family saw two beautifully groomed horses pulling a white carriage trotting to the front of the castle.

It stopped exactly in front of the castle. (Your Name) and her family walked down the marble stairs to greet them. Right when they reached the bottom, the door of the carriage opened. The king and queen of the other kingdom came out first. (Your Name)'s parents greeted them with a professional hand shake, so did Alexander, Milton and, (Your Name).

(Your Name) dreaded for the carriage door to open again. She did not want to see her fate at all. Just a few moments after, the carriage doors opened to see him.

How was the for the prologue? Yes, I did leave it on a cliff hanger, which I am sorry for... not really. Hope you liked it!
