I walked out of the stranger's house and felt the cold air surround me. I had forgotten my jacket. I shrugged and sat on the curb of the road holding my head in my hands. I recollected the information about last night and kicked out my feet. A few cars passed and I lied down onto the frosty grass. The wet blades dampened my hair and I smelled the dirt under my head. I reached my hands out to touch the grass, I scrunched it into my hands. I took a deep breath, my lungs seemed to get colder as I kept breathing heavily.

"Need a ride?," A voice called through the air.

I stood up and saw Maddox. His hair was messy, his eyes darker than before. His face was calm. He had soft skin with features which boldly complimented his eyes.

"If you wouldn't mind that would be great," I answered, "Sorry I'm causing you so much trouble."

"No trouble at all," He smiled. Maddox motioned for me to follow him to his car which was parked inside the garage. It was a black jeep, it looked newly glossed. I ran my fingers down the doors and opened the passenger seat. Maddox plugged in the ignition and the car hummed. He put his hand on the back of my seat to back up; his hand grazed my shoulder and I tensed a little bit. He backed up out of the garage and stopped at the base of the driveway.

"Where do you live?," He asked.

"Just turn at the next corner and then at the park," I told him. He smiled and drove down the street.
