A week later and nothing has been reported of the inmates, I was losing my shit at this point.

There have already been 20 murders in the valley and 1 in our neighborhood, none of the inmates are captured or even spotted yet, I worry even more as now the Inmate in our neighborhood could go find new clothes and act as a civilian.

Although I can't worry about that now, I have to get the kids to school and go to work.

I take the kids to school and head to work for some shocking news.

"Mary went missing." Sheila said to me with a worried face. "What... how?" I said nervously. "I don't know, but someone spotted her getting dragged unconscious by someone with a jumpsuit." She replied. "Well shit, so many people are getting murdered and what are the authorities doing about it." I said with anger. "Look what they did a year ago, it took Christina one fucking talent show dance to have an investigation over an abusive step-father who has been god knows what to her ever since her mom died." Sheila shouted with anger.

After the day's work and picking up the kids, they noticed I was on edge.

"Susan, are you alright, you don't look so good." Christina said. "I'm fine, just a lot of stress with what's happening." I said with a firm and harsh tone. "Mom, calm down, the authorities will take care of the bad guys." Peter said. "Ya, look what it took to get Christina out of that fucking piece of s***'s custody. I said, I didn't mean to come out so vulgar, I just wanted this to stop. "Mom, don't cur-." I cut off Peter, regretting what I said after. "WHAT, DON'T FUCKING CURSE IN FRONT OF PEOPLE, WELL GUESS WHAT PETER, THIS ISN'T A PERFECT LITTLE WORLD WHERE EVERYONE LIVES HAPPILY EVER AFTER, IT TOOK AN 11 YEAR OLD KID TO GET CHRISTINA OUT OF THAT PIECE OF S***'S CUSTODY, AND NOT TO MENTION, ONE TALENT SHOW DANCE THAT SHE HAD TO DO HERSELF BECAUSE NO ONE GAVE A SHIT." I snapped.

Once we got home, Peter ran to his room crying and Christina looked down while walking to her own room.

Fuck me, I didn't mean for any of this.

I walked to Peter's room and knocked on the door, hoping he would talk to me, I just wanted to give him a hug and say I was sorry.

"Peter... please open up, mommy is just stressed right now... please open up." I said softly. I heard him crying, I felt like shit, he didn't need this at all, fuck you Susan, this isn't about you, think of your kid. "Mom... jus- just... go away...." Peter said while sobbing. "Sweetie please, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have yelled at you, it's not your fault, you didn't do anything." I said while tears formed in my eyes. "Go... away." Peter said while sniffling still. I needed to give him some space for now, I needed to chill out myself if I didn't want to snap at him again.

I went out to a cafe and saw David, I needed to talk to someone right now and Sheila was busy, David is really cool and nice, I knew he could help me.

"If it isn't Susan Carpenter, I haven't see you in a month, what's been happening." He said. "Sorry, just a lot of stress, because you know..." I said. "Ya, and I haven't had anyone come in with an injury from an inmate because those killers show no mercy and kill the civilians right away, no evidence of where or who they are has come in yet." He said. "If only this could stop, but no one can figure this out, we don't have anyone smart enough to see all the details in the bigger picture, these inmates are just beyond this area's or even country's intelligence." I said. "I'm pretty sure no one could find them, you need an elite detective or someone to navigate these actions. He said. "Even if we had someone or a group, we still need to take force and we don't know how many of them are out there." I said.

We continued to talk and It was almost 7:00, so I would head home and make dinner, I invited David, but he was too busy, I thought it would also be a good time to talk to Peter and even Christina since it was her experience we were including about this inmates and the authorities.

I went upstairs and saw Peter's door open, I saw him sleeping and went to sit by him, I softly stroked his hair and waited for him to wake up.

After 15 minutes, I decided to wake him up.

"Peter, its time to wake up, I'm about to make dinner, you'll be tired during the school day if you sleep to much, and tomorrow's Friday." I said calmly, and he finally woke up. "Mom.... I'm-I'm sorry." Peter said sadly. "Don't be, its on me, I should have never did that, I'm sorry honey."

I made dinner and apologized to Christina as well, she took it well and understood what was happening and what I had to worry about.

We finished dinner and I tucked Christina and Peter in, I wrote in my book again, expressing all my anger and sadness towards all these people and the people who were doing it, this is sickening, I can't just wait around for more people to die.
