I stared into the judges eyes as she looked back into my bright eyes. Warm tears overwhelmed me and tasted the salty tears as they strolled down to my lips. I never felt more nervous in my life. I didn't want to loose my mother, I would never have the strength to live without her.
"Guilty!" the jury shouted as I cried more and more. I couldn't believe this was actually happening. Never in my whole life would I think that my mother would be going to prison for having drugs in the house. I wondered, where would I be staying? Will I still be living here in Albany? What are my friends going to do when they hear this?
"Three years in prison." The judge announced. I was screaming, but no one could hear me. I said goodbye to my mom and cried in her arms before they took her away from me.
A a cop and I stepped out of the building. He asked me where I loved and then drove us to my house. He told me to pack my bags, but I didn't really know why I had to. Where in the world could I be going? I saw the officer take out his mobile and i heard snippits of the conversation he had with the anonymous human on the other line. I only heard screaming and crying from that person.
"...Yeah hi, this is Officer Walter. Deborah I would like you to know that your sister Gina Valentino just went jail to for drugs in the house."
"...three years."
"...calm down miss, please. Do you think that we could send Aurora Rose Valentino your niece to...yeah we want you to take her in and take care of her."
"Okay I'll send her to the airport now miss thank you."
I didn't have a single clue on what was going on. I just waited for him to speak. I realized he wasn't going to start talking anytime soon.
"Where am I going? I asked the young officer. He was quite cute.
"You know your aunt Deborah right?"
"I've heard of her; haven't seen her since I was a baby. Why?"
"You're going to London, England to live with her Aurora. I am buying you a ticket for the earliest plane to London. Come on, hop in the car we're going to the airport."
I packed my bags and got into the Cop's car. I felt like a criminal sitting in that car.I cried the whole way to the airport and the cop tried to comfort me, but it didn't work. Did he expect me to be okay after my mother was just taken away from me right in front of my eyes? I was obviously not okay. When we got to the airport, We saw that the earliest flight was at five o-clock pm that day. There was still plane tickets left so he bought me one and got out my passport. It was finally five pm so I said thank you and good bye to the cop. He gave me his phone number for if I ever needed anything.
The plane was boarding and I put my bags away and sat down. It was really scary to be by myself in a plane before. Yes, I wasn't alone because of the passengers around me, but being without people I know was frightening. I was afraid I would get kidnapped. Everything on my mind was too overwhelming. I soon fell asleep and woke up to an announcement saying "We will be landing in twenty minutes." I stood up straight and waited until the plane landed. When it did land, we all clapped thanking the pilot for the safe flight. When off the plane, a woman ran up to me and screamed "Aurora!" and gave me a big hug. I could tell that this was my aunt for she did look like my mother.
"Oh gosh Aurora, you have got so big and beautiful!"
"Ha ha, I bet I have gotten big Aunt Deborah. It's so good to see you!"
"Now I hope you like everything in my home, it's quite small."
"Oh hush, it will be fine!"
After a short conversation at the airport, she drove us to her apartment in London and got to know her each other better and i realized I have a cousin named Emilia. She had a strong British accent and long brown hair and looked like me. Her eyes were absolutely gorgeous and she was very open when I met her. She seemed like a nice girl from her friendly smile and appearance and I knew we become close.
~ One week later ~
"Are you liking it here Aurora?" my sweet cousin asked nicely.
"Yeah, it's beautiful here. Thank you for showing me around London!"
"You're welcome Aurora, you can walk around alone now if you would like! Just do not go at night. So, I have a question."
"Yes Emilia, what is it?"
"Do you like One Direction?"
"Oh my goodness, yes!" I yelled in excitement.
"Have you watched all of their videos? Or are you allowed to see them in America?"
"Yes, I have seen them all. I know all their songs too and know many things about them all."
"Oh, well to let you know Aurora, they are in London at the moment. You might be able to run into them, even though that would be a fluke."
"True that. Do you have a favorite Emilia?"
"Harry! Do you?"
"Hm, I am between Harry and Liam, but i love them all!"
"Oh, why that's cool. Harry is your age right? You're seventeen right Aurora?"
"Yes, you're fifteen right Emilia?"
"Correct." She said and smiled. This smile of hers wasn't too comforting.
Emilia seemed like a very fun person to be around. She seemed quiet and mysterious, but she seemed to have an evil side to her beauty.
Authors note:
This is supposed to take place in late November 2011, so Harry is seventeen, Zayn, Niall and Liam eighteen, and Louis nineteen. :) Oh, and to the right, that is Aurora under the word MULTIMEDIA :)
