A week later
Roseline woke up in the middle of the night with her mom and James sitting on the edge of her bed. "we need to talk and it's no going to be easy" he said with a tear coming out of his eye.
"mom what is he talking about"
"Roseline your mom is dieing and there is nothing we can do about it" she knew this but it still hurt to hear.
The next morning Rosaline got up and got ready for her job interview.
As she walked in to her interview she got a text from James "hey hope your interview gos we great I'm picking up some dinner for tonight" she said thanks and as soon as she did a woman walked out and called her name.
"mister Scot will see you now" she follow her to a big office and sat down in front of the most handsome man in the world. She put her hand out to shake his "hi my name is Rosaline Lee nice to meet meet you".
Half way through the interview she got a phone call when she looked down at the phone it was James. Mister Scott look pissed off.
"im so sorry my step dad he would not call if it was not super important" he said "yes" then pointed to the door.
She answered the phone to her new step dad crying "I don't know what to do she is not breathing... She is dead".
Roseline took a deep breath and said "I coming home go to the living room and called the ambulance" she ran to a taxi.
When she got home there where two men putting a white blanket over her mom and James was sitting on the couch crying with his head in his hands. " she took a bunch of pills,there is a note".
Roseline waked over to James
and hugged him "shhhh it going to be OK shhhh" she said till he fell a sleep. She put a blanket on him and made a cup of coffee. She picked up the note and read it. "I'm sorry I'm suffring and cant live like this take care of my daughter" There was a knock at the door and James got up and answer is "hello" he said with red eyes and a stuffed nose. "is Roseline there she left her purse at the interview and I have news for her.
As he said as she walk up to the door with her cup of coffee. "come in" she said with the most tried voice. She took the purse and hung it up. "would you like a cup of coffee" she said as they all sat on the couch. "coffee would be grate" she made him a cup and then walked over to the couch and sat. "you needed to talk to me if I heard you right" she said looking a mister Scott.
" yes I know are interview was cut off short so if you up for it we can restart but this is only because you left you pures and my assistant was fired to day" Roseline took a big sip of her comfy and put it on the table and said "well have you ate dinner yet if not we can talk over dinner" he looked at her and said "yes , where shall we go" she looked over to the couch where james layed down depressed. "Pizza there is a grate place down the rode my mom used to take me to" he looked at his watch "lets go then" she ran over to james and kissed him on the fore head then put a blanket on him "i will be back I know how bad it fills but we have been prepared for this". She grabed her puses and walked out to a nice car with a personal driver. They got to the pizza place and took there seats. "Ok lets get started" he said the started asking questions. There pizza came and they ate it.
"Ok one last question if you where just handed 10 thousand dollars what would you spend it on" she she looked up then stared talking " well i would pay off most of my moms house that is being pased down to me". He took out his phone and wrote somthing in his notes. "Well that did not take long to answer,i will give you a call to tell you if you have a job now i see this pizza place has a bar" she smiled "yep that why my mom would take me here after a long day we would come and get a drink" he looked over at her "umm here it says your 16". "Oh yeah well me and my mom had a special bond, is this gonna affect the interview" they sat down at the bar "no but that is if you get the job" the bartender walked up to them "oh my special underage girl i will get you the usual,and for you sir" he said turning to mister scott. "I will take a beer" he poored a beer and haded it to him then looked at Rosaline "sorry hun hot guys frist" then he made he drink wiched contested of all most every alcohol at the bar mixed and lemon and lime juice mixed in. "Here you are my little baby alcoholic" she trun to mister scott "im not a alcoholic just to clear that up" he looked down at her drink "yeah ok" she laffued "Ok take one sip and tell me this is not a really good drink" he took a sip and looked at the bar tinder " can I have two to go" they drinked there drink and he took her home. As she got out he yelled "all see you Monday" he said as he rooled up the window.
As she got to the door all she could thank about is how she looks like a alcoholic to her now new boss. She enterd the house to james with open arms giveing her a hug. He was clearly drunk out of his mind. she was a litte drunk to she huged him back. "Your mom would be so proud of you" she then took james to the spare room and let him pass out. She got in the shower. She sat down under the running watter and let her tears flow. After crying for a hour the water ran cold so she got out and whent to bed.
