"You look gorgeous!" my mom said to me. I looked in the mirror and couldn't believe what I saw. I had my dark brown hair let down to my waist, curled at the ends. My make up was light and natural, complimenting my tan skin tone. My knee length, strapless, navy blue dress hugged my curves. And last of all, my silver earrings made the whole outfit better.

"Wow Mom! Thank you so much for the dress!" I gleamed. The dress really looked good on me, even I knew it. And usually I was insecure. "You're welcome. I'm going to get ready. Be back!" she replied. I smiled.

My mom was really happy today. We are going to her best friends wedding! After thirteen years of being deeply in love, he finally asked her hand in marriage. The wedding is going to be so perfect! And besides, I'm really happy for "Aunt Kelly" ( that's what I've called ever since. Aunt Kelly and my mom were best friends). Aunt Kelly's been so busy with her career that she had no time for love. I literally thought she was going to die alone. But luckily, Uncle Dave (Aunt Kelly's boyfriend) met her at work and asked her out. And here we are thirteen years later. If only Uncle Dave took less time to propose to Aunt Kelly.

"Oh well!" I said aloud. "Ella! It's time to go!" I heard my dad called. I took one look at the mirror. I actually looked decent today. I smiled and left.
