the Moon's Star

She was like a star
Shining with all her might
Everyone adored her
For her smile was always bright

She secretly loved someone
Someone with a scar
He was like the moon
So close and yet so far

They bumped each other
In the hallway the other day
And when their eyes met
They both had nothing to say

A guy she hardly knows
Made her heart pound too much
She'd dream of his face
And his warm calming touch

The same goes to him
For the stars in the night sky
Would always remind him
Of that girl so shy

They liked each other
But had no clue
They both longed to say
"I love you"

But something had happened
A mistake that wasn't meant
The news came out
And there was a car accident

Inside her hand
was a shining little star
Despite all that happened
Inside that wrecked car

He saw her lying there
Bound by her fate
He should've confessed
But now it was too late

He took the little star
Enclosed in her hand
And then she whisphered
"I'm leaving this land"

He kept that star
Close to his heart
The only thing left of her
When they had to part

Only then did he realize
When her life was done
She wasn't just any star
She was HIS SUN🌞
