It Ended with a Goodbye

It had been a while since [Last Name] had the apartment to herself. Not since a couple of months before Mikasa was born (Hanamiya wouldn't leave the girl's side once she hit the eighth month). Now she was alone. She thought she would feel uncomfortable. After all, she was used to the Mikasa's talkative self. But she felt at peace; it was calm and quiet.

Until the boredom set in.

Hanamiya had decided that [Last Name] would be a stay at home mom, and she agreed. She wanted to stay home with Mikasa. But now that she started school, there wasn't much [Last Name] could do until it was time to get her. Hanamiya had work, and so did the boys. [Best Friend's Name] had work, too. The only family she really knew was in prison... The girl shuddered at the thought of him.

She pushed him to the back of her mind. Hanamiya suggested to try and visit him at least one. "To show him how happy you are now," he told her. Or maybe it was because she needed closure, and he knew it, too. [Last Name] wouldn't even know what to say to him, and she really didn't want to hear whatever he wanted to say to her.

She clenched her fist, tears forming in her eyes. It had been years since he was arrested and she still got worked up over it all.
