Tears came back to my eyes as I remembered that horrible night as I was outside....
My friend Steven walked behind me and patted me on the back.
"Still remembering your uncle?"
"Yes"
"You gotta forgive the man someday....." I stayed quiet, he knew I didn't like talking about my uncle, especially with murder cases.
"Hey.... are you coming to the gala tonight?" He said triying to change the subject.
"I don't know." I wasn't feeling like going.
"The boss and his daughter are going to be there.... I heard she's really hot." He said while eyeing me teasingly.
"So.... she's probably really spoiled, since she's rich and all."
"Dude no, she's actually really nice." He looked at me seriously.
"Ok... maybe I'll go, since the boss is coming...."
"Yeah right, you just want to see the girl...."
"No, remember I'm only 23, I'll go for the sake of the boss and my job." I said emphasizing on the word job.
(A/n: I have nothing against people who marry young, my parents actually got married at age 23, it's just the way of thinking of the character, ok moving on)
"Ok..... whatever you say."
Then Steven left and I went back to my desk.
Later that day
I went to my house and chose the best black suit I have and got a black tie with it. I comed my straight jet black hair to the side, which made my blue eyes and tanned skin pop even more. I got ready quickly in time to be picked up by Steven.
His black Mitsubishi 2017 was parked in front of my house. I walked with my keys, phone and wallet and headed out.
We got there pretty quickly and I looked at Steven. He had the same color suit that I did, except he had a bow tie.
Steven and I look similar in some ways, except he is half an inch taller and has brown eyes and blonde hair and white skin, basically totally opposite, exept he's tall and Christian like me and also my same age.
We went in and it was amazing. The place looked absolutely stunning. When you went upstairs there were more tables with gorgeous flowers. It took place on a gigantic mansion. It was nighttime and I got out of the car with Steven.
As We walked inside I saw carefully the beautiful decorations. I may be a man, but I am very observant, especially to details. I ate and drank non-alchaholic spider, since I don't drink. Me and Steven were watching people dancing and we spent time talking and dancing a little with our friends.
