Skylar just turned 16 today. She had also gotten a letter from her now 23 year old sister.
Skylar walked into her home, tired from a long day of school. Her mother was passed out on the couch and her father was stars knows where. Skylar sighed and walked up to her room just stop expecting them to care, storm Skylar thought to herself.
She looked down to the envelope in her hands, and Skylar smiled. She tore the paper open and looked at the blue cared going ombre into silver.
"Your 16th year is a special one,"
Skylar read aloud,
"You'll recieve your gift at midnight tonight."
Skylar finished reading the card and looked around her bedroom, setting it on the nightstand beside her bed, she then plopped down and thought. Is Zoe sending me a gift this year? She wondered as she drifted off to sleep
