Like, daaaaaaamn. Can you be live I am feeling he tiniest bit exhausted? Wow?"

MY STORY:

It's been your normal day so far.
Wake up to you ridiculing parents. Telling you to do better. Telling you that you were a mistake. That you could try harder. Go to school, and get bullied, walk home whilst being pelted with balls of paper, pieces of rubbish and occasionally a few pebbles and end up back home to only be told your useless again.
Same old same old.
You were sitting on the edge of your bed looking at nothing in particular feeling the warm tears drip down you face. You looked down and rested your head on your arms that were propped on your knees and crossed over your chest.
You whispered to yourself so quietly you couldn't tell if you were actually making a sound or not.

"Please... Please... Please... Someone help me... Anyone..."

You heard a light thud, like a single footstep.
You tilted your head  up and saw someone standing there. You jumped back not expecting to see someone standing there. You would have at least expected your mother to come give you a warning to get your grades upon no meals for today.
But instead there stood a boy?
He looked around your age from what you could tell. He had a pale grey skin that contrasted nicely with his dark brown hair with red tips, crimson eyes that seemed to have a shine like as if he was excited, small black horns and tale that swished back and forth that got D faster the longer he stood there.

"Man! You have no idea how fast Angels are. Like daaaaaaamn! Can you believe I'm the tiniest bit exhausted?" He seemed to be saying anything that came to mind. Like he had nothing planed to say but whatever he was trying to get across sound like nonsense.

Who was he?
Why was he in your room?
Hold on. Your brain processed what he just spouted out. Angels?

"What?"

Was all you could get out. Your throat, dry and hoarse from crying.

"Oh right. My name is Kien. I'm your guardian... Demon?"

He said the last part more like a question. As if he was unsure of what to call himself.

"O-Kay?"

"I'm sorry you must be really confused."

"Yeah..."

"Well..." He started before sitting down next to you on your bed cross legged.
"When you asked for help you were assigned a guardian and those who take a shine to the person asking for help are put in race. The first one to get to you would win. Well it's supposed to be a race but a few punches are normally swung. A lot on Angels and a few demons were interested in you and wanted to be the one who was you guardian and luck was on my side and I prevailed! Unfortunately, I don't have my wings yet so it took a little while for me to catch up with them. Feathery bags of... Anyway! Any questions Y/N?"

"Why did you fight to be my guardian angel?"

So many questions you could have said and you asked that one.
Angles and demons but you asked the most straight forward question you could think of.
You had no idea why.
Maybe because you had no friends and no one ever took an interest in you. Yet here was this fairly cute you'll admit demon boy, claiming he fought a bunch of angels a few moments ago just so he could be your guardian and protect you?

Kien's face grew warm and red as averted his eyes from yours.

"Well... I thought you were... Cute... And that you could use someone strong to stand by your side and have a shoulder to cry on if you needed it..."

You threw yourself forward, wrapping your arms around his neck, forcing him to fall backwards onto your bed. You buried you face into the crook of his neck and you could feel his entire body tense up and his cheeks warm up against you forehead.

"Thank you..."

You couldn't tell but a huge smile spread across his face, cheeks beat red.
He slid his arms around your waist hesitantly and gave you a light squeeze.

"I'll protect you... No matter what."

You both fell asleep in each other's arm.
For once with a smile on your face and one on his.
