Prologue: A Perfect Skye.

Liana Skye was fourteen. No older, no younger. For a fourteen year old, she was very rich-she inherited the millions of dollars her father, Gregory Skye, left in his will to her. She inherited the house, deeds to land, horses; the servants even continued to work for her. It was honestly everything a British noble's child could ask for-you asked Liana to bring you the finest set of dining wear in London, second to the Queen's-of course-and she would have it laid out in front of you within seconds.

Liana was a very rich girl for being fourteen years of age.

The young girl was also appealing for the eyes: shoulder length black hair that fell perfectly straight between her shoulder blades, the side swept bangs brushing into her right eye. Her warm amber colored eyes sparkled between dark lashes that put artificial lashes to shame. She even had a perfect smile; pale pink lips with perfect ivory teeth lined like a row of seats in a theater.

She had an hour glass figure-unlike many girls who used corsets to make their waists smaller, Liana never needed to use a corset. She was the perfect height for her size and age: a slender 5'5".

Some said she could rival the Queen of England, who was supposedly beautiful. After all, she was the Queen's loyal Raven, and any person who served the Queen would have to be quite lovely. After all, no person would want someone disgusting serving them hand and foot.

No person could want someone with a horrible attitude, either. Liana was a very gentle, lightly spoken child who smiled at everything and lived to help others. Everyone treated the daughter of Rosalyn and Gregory Skye with the utmost respect because she was amazing all the way around. Who wouldn't respect such a girl?

Yes, Liana Skye was many things. But a poor commoner was not one of them.
