The restless place

Chapter 4

                  At the top of the top of the stairs I got submerged into an insidious darkness, I was still dragging Mathews body which weighed about a thousand tons, by this point I had to of been carrying his dead weight. I stop to look at Mathew expecting to see his eyes so full of life but when I look at him all I see is nothing, there was one thing on my mind after seeing him, I will not leave his body behind. So I muster all of my strength and I start dragging his body I start toward the right. There's a window just down the hall way I just have to make it , there's one door, two, I'm almost there then out of no where the door opens I get hit in the head. I stumble and fall into the room leaving Mathews body behind in the hallway.my vision is all blurry but when it comes to focus I looked around and wished it stayed unfocused. Every where I looked there were dead bodies all covered in warm sticky blood as if it had happened about two minutes ago.

                          There was an axe on a wood table indented to the side of the table. I went over and firmly grip the handle, when I pull it off the table something sticky and really warm trickles down my fingers, I look and notice it's blood and it's on the edge of the axe as well.

                    I turn to look at the bodies and I see a man in his late 30s with a partial beard but when I turn him over he has cuts all along his entire body his chest looked like if had been torn open and the worst part was he didn't have a heart or organs. Then out of nowhere I hear a ehhhhhhhhhhhwwwwwww!!! I turned and something pounced on me, I didn't know what the heck it was til it was face to face with me. It had razor sharp teeth, a black face, and the flesh looked like it had been torn off piece by piece. My first reaction was to take that axe and swing it right into the side of the creature. It falls to the side of me, but makes a ewwwwww!! As it falls. I take the axe and raise it above my head as I go to swing I feel a sharp cut go through my side, the axe hits the ground beside the creature. I cup the side of my stomach and when I take my hand away there's blood and in a flash the creature gets on top of me and acts as if he going to tear out my organs, but all of a sudden I see a flash and the creature is hit off of me, and thrown into the wall. I look up and Mathew says, "need help?" I reply, "thanks". I pick up the axe and swing it at the creature and I cut its head clean off, when it's head comes off it starts gushing blood. Mathew takes a look around and says, "disgusting, I guess this creature was busy eating people's organs".

                       We start searching the room for some answers. We end up finding a desk, when we look inside it we find a book, no a journal. When we open it, it has a bunch of different creatures and plant names. We start scamming through it then I say, "hey wait isn't that the creature we just fought off?" Mathew replies, "yes, but it looks scarier in person". It's called a grote angst, it eats people's organs so it can reproduce and can only be killed by a weapon made of silver or gold, any other weapon won't even hurt it. We also ended up coming across the rats, but they were mutated. The person said it was a science experiment it all went wrong, they were mutated with the genes of a blue shark and a rat, the creator tried to control them but found it impossible so he burned all of his resources to the ground but the two survived and ended up making a bunch more rats.

            Mathew looked at me and said, "you see this right?" I reply, "yes". He says, "this is the journal of the guy who lived here and who made the rats and knew the creatures, but where is he now?"
