Cheating Actor

I was sitting down at the Hard Rock Cafe waiting for my boyfriend, Landon, to get here. We decided to have lunch together since we wouldn't see each other all week. I was going down to Louisiana and he was going up to New York. We were both actors, that's how we met. We met on the site of a music video we were hired for. It was for some guy named Hunter. His song was pretty emotional but I still really liked it, it made people, and myself, feel like they weren't alone in life. I looked up from my plate of food when the door opened. I was hoping it was Landon, but it was just another lady. I sighed and called the waitress over and got the check and my food to go. When I paid for the food I slowly walked to my car and started to drive back to Landon and I's apartment. He's been doing this a lot lately, skipping out on our plans or being late. The thought of him cheating has crossed my mind many times but I don't think he'd do it, so I pushed it to the back of my mind. I drove up into the building and saw someone parked in my spot next to Landon's car. I parked next to it and stared at it and I was getting sorta scared. I got up to the apartment and went to unlock the door but the chain stopped it from opening all the way. All I saw was a girl putting on clothes. My mouth dropped and my keys fell out my hands. When they hit the floor the girl looked over and had wide eyes when she saw me.

She looked towards the bed and back at me and Landon appeared in the small space. He looked at her and I took that chance to run. I grabbed my keys and took of. I got outside and into my car and started to cry. I turned my car on and Cassadee Pope came on, her song Wasting All These Tears was on, I thought of her music video and realized that what just happened in it, just happened to me. I stopped crying and stared off, I couldn't cry. No. He isn't going to have to over me. I decided that I was leaving to go to Louisiana a day early. My manager wouldn't mind, I could call her before I get on. I'm just not going to stay another day in the same state as him. I didn't need to bring a bag or anything because I could just get stuff there. I drove to the airport and went inside and got a ticket. They checked my purse and then I went to the section for the plane trip to Louisiana. When I was let onto the plane I sat down by the window and closed my eyes. I felt a tap on my shoulder an I opened one eye to look at the person.

"You're in my seat." The person says. I groan and sit up. I look over and see Hunter.

"Hey! I didn't think to see you on this flight." I say standing up. He puts his hand on my shoulder to stop me.

"No no no, sit. I'll take this spot. But I didn't think to see you either." He says sitting down. I smile at him.

"Well, I had to get out the state." I say. He looks at me confused.

"Why?" He asks.

"Well, I caught Landon with another girl. I didn't want to stay here and just think of him. So I'm going to Louisiana early. And when I go back, I'll pack all my stuff up and leave again." I say. He looks at me with his mouth open a little.

"Kristen, I'm so so sorry! But where are you gonna go when you get back?" He asks. I sit there for a minute.

"I guess I'll go back to my parents house. I have no where else." I say laughing a little.

"Why don't you just stay with me? I don't think my parents would mind." He says. I shake my head no.

"I'm not gonna do that to you. My manager already booked me a hotel room, I'll stay there." I say. He frowns at me.

"Can we at least hang out then?" He asks. I roll my eyes and nod.

"Sure." I say. He smiles at me and then hugs me, I return both.

••Two Weeks Later••

"Hunter! Stop it!" I yell as he puts egg into my hair. He laughs and almost slips on yoke that fell from the egg.

"Nice job." I say smirking. He glares at me and I turn around and get some flour in my hand and turn back around and throw it at his face. He stops moving and stares at me. I take that chance to look around and see the mess we've made. Next thing I know Hunter picks me up and puts me on the counter. I start laughing again, but stop when he puts whipped cream. I was about to get him back when the door opened and closed. I looked at Hunter and our eyes widened. We took off outside and hid.

"HUNTER EASTON HAYES! GET YOUR BUTT IN HERE!" His mom, Lynette yells. Hunter ducks into the bushes as she comes outside and she immediately spots me. I blush as she crosses her arms across her chest. I point at the bush an she comes over and drags Hunter out. I smirk as he gets dragged. I follow them inside and Lynette lets him go in the kitchen.

"One hour. You two have one hour to clean this up and go get changed. We're going out to eat tonight. Our treat." She says. She then walks out and we get to cleaning.

"This is your fault." He mumbles as he sweeps the floor.

"No! It was your idea to bake." I point out.

"Fine, but I wanna do something tomorrow night." He says.

"Like what?" I ask standing up.

"Take you out. On a date." He says. I look at him with wide eyes for a minute but nod.

"Alright, but where would we go?" I ask.

"How about Zacks Steak House." I hear Lynette say from behind us. I jump and she starts laughing from my reaction.

"You two take the reservation tonight. Leo and I can go some where else." She says.

"No, I can't take that from you. How about we go some where else. You to take it." I say. She smiles at me.

"No buts. You two are taking it. Enjoy your night." She says smiling and walks away. I look at Hunter and he shrugs his shoulders. We finish up cleaning and I rush upstairs to get changed. I put on a long sleeved shirt, some skinny jeans, knee high boots, and a scarf. I then put my hair in a braid and sprayed some perfume on.

I walked out an saw Hunter standing there with a rose. He hands it to me, I take it and lay it softly on the bed and walk back out.

"Thank you." I say hugging him and kissing his cheek.

"You know, you look beautiful." He says. I smile.

"Thanks." I say. We then go to the restaurant and eat. When we get back, right before we go inside he stops me.

"What? Is ev-" I start but I'm interrupted by his lips going onto mine. I smile and wrap my arms around him. He pulls away soon after and smiles at me.

"I really really wanted to do that." He says. I let out a laugh and kiss him again.
