Chapter 4

The next morning Meryl woke up and just laid there in bed, thinking about everything that had happened the night before. She had a 'meeting' with Pierce in less than 36 hours and she still had to find a way to tell Don. She was dreading the thought. 'Do I really have to tell him? I mean it's just a simple gathering between 2 professional actors' she asked herself. 'Oh stop it Meryl. Be mature and just face it, you're not doing anything wrong anyway so there's nothing to be worried about.' She kept going back and forth in her mind wondering how in the heck to mention it. She sure was running out of time that's for sure. After half an hour laying and just thinking she finally got up and went to check on Henry first. She saw that he was still asleep and went back to her bedroom and made a quick phone call. "Carol hey"
"Meryl hunny how are you? Oh and congratulations on the Oscar award!!!" "Oh Thank You hehe I'm good how about you?" "Well at the moment im wonderful, I'm finally getting that dream pool I've always wanted next year" carol told Meryl "oh my god well it was about time. I feel like we haven't talked in a while" "I know. There's so much we need to catch up on." "Are you available today? For lunch and maybe a little shopping?" "You know I can never turn down a shopping invitation. Say 11:30?" "Perfect. I'll meet you at 'Kristen's Cafe' on the mark" "Sounds great dear. See you in a bit" Meryl hanged up and headed towards the bathroom to start getting ready as she heard a voice. "Who was that?" Meryl jumped up a little and turned around. "Don? You scared me. I didn't know you were awake" "Sorry to scare you, I just woke up so I didn't hear your conversation if you were inferring" "no, it was Carol. I missed her and decided to give her a call. We're hanging out for lunch today." Meryl responded. "Oh okay. Sounds good. Some time away from home could do you well, to enjoy yourself" Don said. "Right, speaking about time away from home. I have a meeting tomorrow night with Pierce Brosnan" Meryl finally said looking down not wanting to blush or anything infront of Don. " Is that that one actor that was on TV the other day?" He asked very calmly. She looked up and responded "Yes that actor, we ran into each other at the Oscar's and he asked to get together one day to discuss feature movie possibilities." "We'll have fun then. But remember I'm won't be home until 5pm tomorrow. I have a golfing tournament." "I know, and it's fine I worked my way around that." Don smiled at her and leaned in. "Okay then. I'm going to run a quick shower and head to the basement for some quick sculpting inspiration" he leaned in more and gave her a small and gentle kiss. "Okay, I'll start on breakfast for you 2 boys before I leave." She smiled and returned the kiss and went downstairs. She got breakfast ready and then woke Henry up and left the eating while she went and got ready herself.

Meryl held up a red dress in front of her, "This one or that one over there?" she asked her friend. "Well the red on is very, how do I say, revealing." "Yes....... but it's very comfortable!" Meryl lied; she really just needed a reason to buy it. She wanted to be revealing, show some of the cleavage she had now that she was pregnant. There was nothing wrong with that, after all she is a woman. "Well, you could wear a blazer or something over it, – it is just a business meeting with Pierce Brosnan's agent, Meryl". "Mhm!" Meryl smiled, knowing it wasn't with his agent. "I think I have a blazer I can use at home." She said with the dress in her hand walking towards the register ready to pay for the dress. She was committed and taking it. After that store, Carol and Meryl headed back to Meryl's house so Carol can catch up with Henry and Don and so on. They spent the rest of the day at home talking and catching up.

Friday Morning
It was the day Meryl and Pierce were going to meet up. 'Finally it's today' Meryl though in her head as she was brushing her hair in the bathroom. She has managed to get very little sleep last night. She kept thinking about today, tonight and how excited she was. She felt like a 17 year old going on a date. But she wasn't a date. It was just 2 professional actors who were going out to meet up and hopefully gain a new beautiful friendship.

After several minutes in the bathroom she went to wake Henry up. Don had already awaken and was headed downstairs, just as the 2 of them were. Meryl sat Henry down on the sofa with a sippie cup and some toys as she headed up for the kitchen and started breakfast. She decided to go simple and sweet with some homemade orange juice and French toast and some jelly and spread.
3 hours or so later, the 3 of them had already eaten and cleaned up Meryl left Don and Henry playing in the living room as she headed to bathroom to take a shower. "When are you leaving?" Don asked her, "In about 2 hours or so, I will be back before 11 pm" Meryl yelled while heading up the stairs. Meryl went in the bathroom, seeing one of Don's golfing shirts laying just beside the laundry basket "Don, are you kidding me". She had just cleaned the room and it was messy again. Although Don often did small and forgetful things like that, she couldn't help but get frustrated because it was often and she was pregnant. She continued walking towards the bathroom and started taking of her clothing. she went in the shower and she could feel a little kick in her stomach "Oh my god! Don get in here!" She yelled with her head out the shower door "What?" he yelled while running up the stairs, thinking Meryl fell or worse! "Feel it Don! The Baby is kicking! It's kicking!" Don was just standing in the doorway amazed by how Meryl looked naked, it had been months since he saw her naked, the pregnancy made it hard for them to get physical, "Don?" she asked "Yeah, sorry just amazed" he said rushing over to her, smiling. "Isn't this amazing, we can't see it but it's here!" "So wonderful", he said putting his ear against her belly. Don started kissing her belly and then kissed her. She smiled at him and helped him get in the shower as they made out and had intercourse for the first time in months.

Meryl was sitting in the car, she had the red dress on with a blazer over. She didn't feel like being so revealing anymore, she was married and pregnant. No, this was just a dinner, just getting to know another fellow actor. She was feeling guilty, Don adored her and what he did today in the shower, it just proved it. And here she was thinking of showing some cleavage to another actor who was also married. No, this was all the hormones she tought. She paid her taxi driver and went out of the car, while saying goodbye to the driver someone tapped on her shoulder "Oh Pierce! Hi!" She said, giving him a hug. He smelled like colone, like one of those business men type. Strong and expensive too. "Meryl, a pleasure! Shall we go inside?"he said as he helped her get out of the car and started walking into the restaurant. As soon as she sat down at her table she took of her blazer, blaming the heat in the restaurant. But it was another kind of heat she was feeling. She couldn't resist, he was just so handsome....
