The Warning

"When will you see that no one will help you unless you help them by explaining what it is you need help with". My brother said to me. We were talking about school and I told him that the teachers don't help me with my bullying problem but he said it was my fault for not explaining myself to them. As we were arguing Angelina texted me.
Angelina - hey girl
Me - hey
Angelina - u wanna hang I'm free and we need to talk asap
Me - yeah I'm free and about what
Angelina - meet me by the hide out we'll talk there
Me - ok see u soon
As I finished texting Angelina I told my brother that I was heading out. The hind out is an old tree house that is built on the edge of the forest on a hill that over looks the town. When we were little we used to meet up there to get away from our problems but one time we were followed close to the tree house so we ran into the forest to hide and wait to see if they leave. About five minutes later they did but we stayed for another five minutes just to make sure before we ran home. As I arrived Angelina was in the tree house scared, I took notice and quickly got inside. "Hey Angelina what's up what happened?" I asked. "Oh hey you made it" was all Angelina said before a gun shot was heard near by. It was like time slowed down while I stood there watching my best friend who's been with me since childhood get shot in the shoulder and slowly bleed out. As everything went back to normal speed I quickly grabbed my friend and moved her away from the area. There was another shot where it nearly misses my head by inches  and the person who was firing tried to get in the tree house but I quickly got the bags of bricks that were inside in the corner that has been there since me and Angelina found the tree house and put it on the trap door after awhile of the person banging around they started to yell. But what horrible yell it was it sounded like a dog and a cat were calling for help while dying. Till finally the police arrived because of the gun shots and arrested the person. I moved the bag of bricks and helped my friend get down when the police asked us what happened I told them the whole story before I left to go see Angelina in the ambulance before she left to go to the hospital. "Hey how are you feeling?.....metaly I mean." I ask trying to not panic. "Shaken up but ok and can you call my parents let them know I'm ok." Angelina said before getting taken away to the hospital. Shortly after I arrived home my mom came running out of the house saying "Honey are you ok are you hurt?" She asked. "I'm ok but I need to make a phone call to Angelina's parents" I said. "Oh don't worry about that I already did" my mom said. "Wait how do you what happened?" I asked. "Honey it's hard to keep secrets from me" she said. "True, by the way do you know who the person was and why they were after Angelina?" I ask. "Yes I know who it is but I don't know why." My mother said. I didn't ask who because I know I won't get an answer from her. "Oh ok well I'm going to go see Angelina in a few hours until then I'm going to my room" I said before going into the house to my room and shutting the door. I sat on my bed thinking about what happened and about the scream. Such a horrible scream it was but for some reason it seemed filmilier to me like something like this happened before. After awhile I got a call from Jake asking if I was ok and if I need to talk about it.
Jake - hey babe i heard on the news what happened are you ok, do you need to talk about it?
Me - I'm fine but I don't think Angelina is though, she said she was shooken up but she was shot in the shoulder so I don't think she realizes it yet until they put her in for surgery to get it out.
Jake - OMG is she ok like will she live cuz you and her were like sisters?
Me - Yeah she'll be fine I'm gunna go see her in a couple of minutes but you can come if you want.
Jake - I will come later there's someone I have to visit first ok?
Me - Ok see you later
After talking with Jake I decided to go see Angelina and see what she wanted to talk about before the gunshots. As I was walking I saw Angelina's house so I decided to go grab her some cloths before going to the hospital. I knocked on her door but no one answered. My guess is that their already at the hospital. As I arrive there in Angelina's room I saw her parents on one side and Rue on the other. "Hey you came just in time too Angelina just came out of surgery and is about to wake up." Rue said. "Really that's great" I said. After a few minutes Angelina woke up and we all were happy. I waited for everyone to leave so I could ask Angelina what she needed before all this happened. When everyone left and it was only me and Angelina I decided to ask her. "Hey Angelina what were you going to tell me before all this happened?" I ask. "Oh that well I was being followed all day and when I was at home the person just kept peeping through the windows" she said. "I ran to the tree house because I got scared and that's when I texted you" she continued. Was it a warning or what I thought.
