Chapter eleven

"Well, I think Kaneki is trying to leave" Ayato explained; You rose a brow. "What makes you think that?" You ask.

"Well I've been catching him leaving really late at night, I always thought he was hungry. But I never smelt the human meat on him" Ayato explained the rest of his thoughts.

"Okay, and what are you going to do about it?" You ask him. He took a deep breath he turned around and sat on his bed clearly Angry and frustrated.

"I don't know" He said. "Because I can't just act like I never saw anything. Hell that would be hard to forget" He said in his usual grumpy like tone.

You make a quick and a kind of dangerous choice, you were nervous. He was in one of those moods where he will punch anything five feet or closer to him.

You decided to sit next to him; you were a arm's length away from him, you didn't want to be in his punching range and you didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable in any way.

He eyed you for a moment before looking back straight ahead.
"Well how do you feel about Kaneki?" You asked, trying to find a way to resolve the situation.

"I fucking hate him" He answered.

"So why don't you tell anyone?"

"Because Touk-" He stopped in mid sentence "Never mind. don't worry about it, forget I ever said anything" He finished. And you were concerned.

Was he about to say his sisters name? Touka? If so, what about her?

He got up and opened the door about to walk out, before you got up.

"Wait Ayato, what were you about to say?" You ask.

"I said forget about it" He said obviously triggered "Why do you asking so many fucking questions?" He said getting more mad and sassy by the second.

"I'm just trying to help you" You said in disbelief.

"Well stop trying"

"I can't"

"Why the hell not?"

"Because what?!"

"Because I like you"

"Nothing, sorry for bothering you Ayato" You said. You were about to walk off until he suddenly appeared in front of you.

"Like me? How could you even, Like me?" He asked in disbelief. This was new to him. No one liked him before. No one ever liked him as a friend or in a romantic way.

"To be honest I don't even know" you answered, smiling nervously.

"What way do you like me?" He asked.

"I'll tell you later" You said sheepishly, he eyed you up and down, as if he was scanning you for lies.

"Fine" He said "But I will remind you" He said, he took a few steps towards you invading your space. He leaned down to your ear, his warm breath making you blush.

"Because I like you to" He said before walking away like nothing happened. You stood frozen not sure what to say or do.
