Ch.1
Mistakes Happen
The wind blew hard from the east and the sun was just starting to set. Today, I thought was going to be a good day. I was wrong. May 17, 2014 is and will always be the worst day of my life. It was the day that my life went from ordinary to ending. This is how my day went.
I did everything like I usually did, I walked to school and everything. I only lived about a mile away. but nevertheless I walked to school that day. It was a normal day. Same old, same old, like trying to keep your bad boy ex-boyfriend from drawing you in. Again.
I decided to walk home, although it was rare for me to walk home on Wednesdays I felt the sudden urge to. So I did. And my was it beautiful, the clouds the way they looked like floating objects in the sky. I decided to take a detour and stop at the store. I texted my mom and she seemed alright with it. But the only thing that I dreaded was walking through the stoner pit.
At least that is what we call it. It's where all the weird meth induced and rapist live. It always scares me to walk through there. But today I was feeling confident. And I made it through in one piece. Then I heard a siren. is assumed that they were going after one of the meth heads, but I was wrong. they continued in my direction. I made run for it. What if the owner of the store had called the police? I had stolen a necklace from an old store about a week ago. I was only fifty cents short of buying it! Ugh.
So I continued to sprint. When another police car drove in front of me. I stopped in shock. One man came behind me and grabbed my back pack.
"Hey! What are you doing? Get off me!" I yelled.
Then the one man grabbed me as the other searches my bag. And there it was. Weed. At least a pound! Oh shit! no wonder they were chasing me.
"No.... That is not mine! I don't know where that came from. You have to believe me!" I sounded desperate. I hadn't ever even touched pot or weed in my life. The officer shook his head.
"That's what they all say honey, now book her." The older cop ordered the men. I continued to shake my head and try to squeeze free. But deep down I knew it was pointless.

Today was my court hearing. Since I hadn't pleaded guilty, because well I didn't take that pot, I had to go to court. My parents were the only ones plus the attorney ( he doesn't really count in my opinion). The only thing I had to do know was prove my innocence.
Apparently the "pot" that I had was from a world class drug dealer. He was top notch and everyone was looking for him. I don't know how they found me, and I don't know how that pot got there. I have an idea though. Marcus my ex-boyfriend who I have been on and off with, use to smoke meth and pot. I always told him to stop an that he was tying his life. He of course never listened. Marcus use to tell me about this guy who use to sell it to him, the guys name was Z-Money or something and that he was "world class". So that's what I told the cops. They didn't believe. They offered me a deal, if I told them were Z-Money was they would minimize my sentence. I have no clue where freaking Z-Money was! So I pleaded not guilty and now I am sitting and waiting for the jury's veridic.
I tapped my feet repetitively on the brown wooden floor. I was nervous. I didn't want to go to Juvey! I wanted to go to college and get a job, no college would take a delinquent. Then I saw a tall man hand the judge a whit piece of paper. I swallowed hard. Oh god.
"The defendant was found...Guilty".
