The Path To A Safty

This is a chapter two of my book. Thank you all for who gave me help, so I have deiced to try a new way of telling the story. So let me tell you a bit about this new life for Zero. This started when monsters attacked the human world and humans and monster alike took advantage of all the governments that were in chaos. Monsters who have opposed the right to kill humans were killed on the spot, at least the ones who could not defend them selves. People and monsters from all kinds would stand up and fight to have a brighter tomorrow.

It's been three months and none of us have been able to have a good night sleep, we are haunted by the death of our friend. His name was Malphite. Granted we only knew him for a week, but none of us will forget him for jumping in front of me and Ahri. She wakes up screaming every night, watching his death over and over in her mind. I feel sorry for her but she's never known what love, happiness, and sadness have felt like in her life. I do think I am falling in love with that fox, but I can't tell yet. Anyways back on track, Malphite killed a demon but was ripped in half by a chaos demon, and there was nothing any of us could do to help him. He was grabbed by it outa nowhere, the bastard was not even seeable by any of us. We ran and Ahri was so upset she tried to kill him with out thinking. I grabbed her to keep her safe and to get her outa there, while the other three ran. I still keep watch every night right now because we are the only two in our group as of now. Ahri is asleep in my lap and I am rubbing her ears hopping to relax her and keep her asleep for once. I have sat here for hours but the call of sleep is calling me. My eyes begin to get heavy and I slowly drift off into sleep. Hours pass, then three days pass, I awoke to find my self in a bed, Ahri next to me and food sitting next to the bed. I fly up with out warning, a sharp pain filling my entire chest. I looked down to find I was nearly eaten alive by dream demons. I stared at Ahri grateful that she was not harmed, but what happened? Who saved us? A little girl ran up to me saying "Mr Mr are you ok?" I replied yes and ask where I was. She told me I was at a house of protection from demons. I asked "how did Ahri get in then? she is a demon." She replied "mommy says you must love her very much if you're willing to put your own sleep on hold to make sure she can have a good night sleep. Mommy also says humans must protect those who mean to change the world for the greater good, and mommy believes that's what you are doing." I smiled at her "indeed I am little one." I sit in the bed, waiting for Ahri to awake. After a few hours she finally opened her eyes. Instead of the feeling of her wanting to freak out she hugged me tightly and said, "Zero I don't want to be alone anymore I want to be free. Please don't leave me." I looked at her and smiled. "I never thought of leaving you Ahri. Your stuck with me for life." She smiled and just like that our lives were going to change for the better.
