chapter 9

(Alexander pov)

I can't believe she punch brook,

yes the pack hated her because she was a trouble maker but my mate just hit her and didn't say sorry.

But the way Riley looked at me,

She looked disappointed and mad.

She walked away and didn't look at me when she left the room I called her name but she didn't come.

I even ordered Her to get back here but she didn't,

I realized she had alpha blood,

Only alpha pure  bloods could disobey the others orders,

guess that doesn't really work with ordering her around.

When the room cleared out and it was only brook and I left in the room,

I asked her the truth and in my view I saw her nose flaring which showed she wasnt saying the honest truth.

I looked at her disappointed and she cuddled closer trying to get an excuse to forgive her.

I grabbed her arms and yanked them off of me and left the room searching for Riley's room.

When I got to her room all I could hear we soft cries and mumbles of her past family.

I sat for hours at her door,

but she didn't notice.

With one last soft cry she drifted off to sleep.

I found the door unlocked and opened it without making her wake up and went to lay next to her.

She stirred a little,

im guessing she was having a nightmare.

So I gently cradled her in my arms telling her that im there and that everything would be alright,

as she relaxes and I drift off to sleep with her in my arms peacefully.

(Alexander pov)

I woke up hearing  soft cries and feeling  claws extending in my shoulders .

I looked at Riley and saw she was having a nightmare,

sweat beads around her neck and forehead,

eyes yellow but fading slowly and lips a shade of blue .

She looked paler and paler each minute and I freaked out.

I Lifted her bridal style and ran down the stairs and mind linking the pack doctor to be ready the moment I arrive.

Ran down two flights of stairs and only feeling a hallow pulse on her wrist.

I kept telling her to stay with me but im guessing she couldn't hearing me.

I pushed myself more,

Arrived their in a blur and feeling one heart beat per two seconds.

The doctor shoos me out and tells me to wait.

feeling like it was a deja vu

Hours went by and I wasn't giving up on her I know I treated her like nothing even brook tried to push me to go in bed with her but I would order her to leave.

The doctor came back out and told me that their was poison in her system.

I growled at that thought of somebody trying to poison her.

'I WANT ALL THE ROOMS IN THE PACK HOUSE SEARCHED INSIDE AND OUT,FIND ANYTHING THAT BAS TO HAVE ANY POISON OR ANYTHING THAT IS SUSPICIOUS '

I boomed at my warrior wolfs in the mind link.

The doctor told me after that she will have to take some pills for a couple of weeks.

(Alexander pov)

I walked into her room,

placed the chair near her bed and held her hand.

Murmuring soft soothing words as she slept.

She mumbles some words that I couldn't hear you would have to be close to her mouth to hear.

I got up and put my ear close to her mouth and I only heard one word per minute

Rejected.     Banished.      Death.
Mate.           pack.         grandfather.  Nothing.    Nothing.            Something. 

And she stopped murmuring

I thought her wolf was tell me by opening to me because she hasn't.

Im going to get to the bottom of this.

'sir we found some poison in the maids laundry room '

'Get them both down here '

'Yeah uh Rita escaped '

'Find her! '

(Alexander pov)

At one point I was holding her hand and after  I was sleeping.

She woke me up looking at me and guided me next to her on the bed at first I was confused and I looked at her and mouth are you sure she nodded her head.

I didn't let go of her hand but continued to the side of the bed and laid down next to her.

I was comfortable and not too long I grabbed her waist and pulled her to my chest.

(Alexander pov still)

I swear that was the best night I have slept.

I watched her sleep and look at her in awe.

I feel like a girl just looking at her in awe.

She scrunches her nose when she sleeps its so cute makes me laugh.

I chuckle and she opens her eyes

slowly and says 'hey'

'morning sweetie'

she looks at me confused.

She mumbled something that I didn't hear clearly as disappointment crossing her features.

I looked at her confused as well.

(Riley's pov)

Waking up at a soft chuckle wondering where it actually came from.

Seeing Alex chuckling at God knows what and he was still holding me close to him and not wanting to let go.

I told him alissia and I needed to go shopping since ill be apart of this pack.

He told me to get loads of clothes as long as I use his credit card .

He gave me these weird pills and said to take them each hour.

Possessive much I thought.

He gave me the directions to find alissia.

I went to the stairs and him following behind watching my every move as if I'd fall he would catch me.
