I watched the time like it was almost new year. 6 - 5 - 4 -
"Ms. Sernavo , is there a reason for you to be watching the clo-" the bell rang, cutting him off.
saved by the bell.
I rushed out of the musty smelling classroom along with the other soon- to- be dropouts.
It was only third period, but I swear I've been in this school for 10 hours.
Instead of heading to trig I go straight to the bathroom, ignoring all the stares and whispers from the losers in snapbacks and the mean girls in mini-skirts. As soon as I entered the restroom, cigarette smoke smacked me in the face. There were three girls there, one with a lit cigarette, on her phone looking out the window, two applying lip gloss and talking about shoes - well at least that was what they were talking about until they noticed I was there. Then they're conversation turned into complete giggles and stares. I tried to act like I had no clue what they were doing. I fixated myself on washing my hairs although I haven't used the bathroom yet. It was just a distraction from they're purposely loud whispers about me. I went into a stall to hide my face. When I heard them leave I left the stall and right there on the mirror written in red lipstick was "aw, is the loser baby sad?"
I pretended like I didn't see it. The two girls who wrote this are Lindsey and Becca. They hang out with Reyna and the rest of her clan. The girl with the lit cigarette breaks my daze.
"Ouch, didn't know they still had it out for ya", she says.
Of course she knew who I was, I'm not trying to mean it in a conceded way, but who didn't?
"Yeah , guess so", I say looking out the window, trying not to stare at her, it was hard. Trust me. She had Dirty Blonde hair with black highlights, her hair cut a little below her ears. She was real pale with an oversized black nirvana shirt, black ripped jeans with chains, and combat boot with a over-the-shoulder bag. I wondered why Lindsey and Becca didn't make fun of her, they usually do that to everyone who does meet their mini-skirt, perfect lip gloss, and straight hair standards. I brushed it off though.
"So, already skipping class huh?, ha , I mean its only the first week of school", she says.
"I guess we're skipping together then", I say, able to actually look at her this time. I don't know what was holding me back before.
"This is different. I mean, talking to you is different, last year, when ya hung out with Lindsey and em' you were soooo...them", she says, almost as if she doesn't care about telling the truth.
"Guess you could say that", I say looking down, I mean it was the truth...
Sophomore year-
Its sunny outside. Me and Lindsey are in the front of my new Lexus. Becca's in the back. We're on our way to Reyna's house to get her. Then school.
"Lind's, call Reyna", I say as we pull up to Reyna's driveway.
