AJ and Golden has been friends since they were little. They always went to each others houses to play and share their toys. As they grew older, Golden moved to America, where she grew up without having any contact with AJ. However, Golden moved back to England when she was 8 and moved back into her old school where AJ was. They managed to get along again like two peas in a pod, with both of them having the same interests. It was in Year 5 where this story first begins though. This is the first time AJ realised he liked Golden.

It was a warm, summers day, and AJ and Golden were out sitting in the shade of the cherry blossom tree at the back of AJ's garden, talking about their favourite books.
"One of my favourite series of books, exclaimed Golden, is probably Thirst, by Christopher Pike."
"Harry Potter is so much better." argued AJ.
"No way!" Golden argued back, and the rest of the conversation went on like that. This was when AJ knew (because of their love of books and all their good memories together) that he had a crush on Golden.

Later on in the day, Golden and AJ were (again) sitting in the shade of the cherry blossom tree.
"Do you remember when you used to do my make up and dress me up?" queried AJ.
"Of course I do, how could I forget that! The face you made when you saw yourself in that mirror, it was priceless." replied Golden, barely holding back the tears of laughter that almost escaped her eyes as she giggled uncontrollably. This again, was another moment when AJ realised that he was crushing on Golden.

Throughout the night, AJ and Golden messaged each other about current memes, recommended books to read and tv shows to watch. Golden had recommended all the anime, whilst AJ much preferred the gory stuff, like Daredevil and Jessica Jones. They didn't mind that they had such a different taste in tv shows, because they had their childhood memories, their everlasting friendship and their love of books to keep the friendship and conversation alive.
