It's Valentine's Day and I have some hopes but I know they probably won't happen. I'm in gym hating every second of it. My friends, buzzing with excitement about what they hope will happen.
"Omg I heard that Sally is going to ask out Sand!"
It's fairly interesting to listen to their conversation. As it wears on I start to tune it out and get lost in my own thoughts. Suddenly they are snapping in my face and yelling at me. Confused I ask "whaaaattt?" In a Whiney tone.
"We have like 1 minute before the bell rings! You've been so out of it you missed it when the teacher said it was time to go change!"
They all giggle.
"Whatever I'll just wear my gym clothes for the rest of the day." I harshly spit out.
Biology goes smoothly and the minutes tick away fast. I make sure to grab everything and head to my next class.
It's boring we talk about what lesson comes next. I stare at my watch so bored that I could have 30 things fun to do and none of them would even help.
Math was next and math sucks. I mess around because I don't want to do anything.
In the hallway, I watch as couples hold hands. So joyful because they have each other. One specific couple is actually upset, they seem to be in an argument. Oh, happy couples how I want to yell at them that it most likely won't last, that those guys will leave the girls and they will be heartbroken. I walk on and see a girl crying a ripped up note and flower on the ground. She looks up at me, tears fill her eyes. I pick up the note and the flower.
"Are you okay? Would you like to come sit with me at lunch? You can talk to me about it."
"Th that sounds ffff fine."
She stutters as she gets to her feet.During lunch, I found out her name is Cassy. She had walked over to give her boyfriend a gift but he was kissing her best friend so she ripped up the note and tore the petals off the flower. At the end of our conversation, she had looked me in the eyes and said "Today has been the worst! Valentine's Day sucks!"

At home, I decided to work on some school work to get my mind off what day it is. Twenty minutes into my work my phone dinged. I looked at it confused. Who would text me? No one ever starts the conversation with me. I pick it up and look at the message.
Hananiah
U want to come hang out with the group? We're going to a roller rink 😎
I unlock my phone and quickly ask my parents if I can go. They give me the go ahead. I quickly reply
Cira
Yeah can u guys come pick me up in 10?
Excited I grab my roller blades and my purse. I change into a pair of leggings with geometric designs and a tank top. I through my hair up just as my phone dings.
Hananiah
Yeah be there soon.
A few minutes later I hear a honk and head outside. Everyone was already in the Jeep ready to go. I hop in and complain about the lack of music in the car.
"Come on Han! Turn on some music!" Cass yells
" Yeah, I want to do some karaoke!"
After the last statement by Jason, Hananiah smacks him and turns on the music.
"Owww what was that for?!"
" I was trying to hurt your face before you start singing so that it hurts to sing."
"That's not fair!" He whines. We all laugh and we sing along to the radio despite Han's protests.
As we pull in it's easy to tell that they have expanded the rink.
As we walk in there are two rinks one for beginners and another for people who are close to being pros. As I'm putting on my blades I watch all the people around me. Deep in thought, I don't notice an unfamiliar face is in front of me.
