**recap**
"I knew it was you!"
***
I say this as I'm walking up. The person looks a lot like Cassy but as we get closer I realize it's not her.
"Let's leave it's not anyone we know."
I grab Hananiah's arm and lead him towards the doors we just came through. But before we reach the car a girl is standing there.
"Did you really think that I didn't see you?"
Hananiah has huge eyes and looks like he's ready to run away. I turn to face her.
"Why do you insist on following me around? Can't you just leave me alone?"
"No I can't not until you give me what I want."
"Well I'm sorry but I don't know what you want so stop trying to talk to me about it!"
"I want the truth about what happened that night!"
"I already told you! Hananiah start the car we're leaving."
Hananiah doesn't hesitate to jump in the car. I follow suit and get in the passenger seat. We turn out of the mall entrance and head for my house. When we get there all we do is sit there in silence for a few minutes.
"So are you going to tell me what that was all about?"
"I will later just leave it be for now."
"Ok well bye."
I hop out and walk to the house severely annoyed with that stupid girl.
**next day**
**Alex pov**
The tree where they supposedly meet is very beautiful. It's a weeping willow that has many different names carved into it. As I walk up I notice that some people are already there and I decide these must be some of her friends.
"Ayyy are you that new kid? Alex right right?"
"Yeah."
"Well I'm Jason and this is Noah."
Jason is skinny and has longer blond hair while Noah is more built and has black hair. I decide a nod will be enough of an acknowledgement. Right as I sit down she walks up.
"Hey Alex! I guess you met Noah and Jason."
"Yes"
"Well this is Cassy and Han."
Cassy looks at me with a rather judging look. I turn away from her and walk over to Cira.
"So Alex where did you come from?"
The one named Jason asks me.
"Well we just moved here from Louisiana."
"I have always wanted to go there!!!"
From her loud reply I observe that she is probably the outgoing and energetic one of the group. Everyone around me gets into a conversation about where they want to travel so I watch as people begin to arrive at school. After about 5 minutes another person joins our group and I learn that his name is Hananiah. He's a shorter guy but is built and has short brown hair. He gives me a uninterested look and joins in the conversation with the group quickly making his way over to Cira to talk to her. Meanwhile Cassy randomly shows up beside me and grabs my arm pulling me towards the school.
"What are you doing?"
"Dragging you with us. The warning bell just rang duhh."
I decide to shut up and let her drag me along.
**Cira pov**
Alex is still very quiet. He seems to be very observant. I watch him throughout our conversation about traveling. He studies every person in the group. Noah and Hananiah pull Alex into the conversation to learn more about him. Which is great because maybe he'll talk more then. When the warning bell rings and Cassy grabs Alex I can't help but laugh as she drags him along to the school. Now that I know who Alex is, I notice he is in almost all of my classes. I'm thinking so much that I don't even realize when the teacher calls on me.
"Cira what is the answer? The class is waiting." The teacher stares me down daring me to pretend I was listening.
"O right the answer. Well the answer is 22."
I smirk at the teacher.
"Well Cira you're right. Good job."
I give him a sassy smirk and go back to thinking. Alex looks over at me and gives me a thumb up which I return with a smile.
**3 hours later**
"I think that monopoly is actually a good game that requires strategy. I think monopoly is the best game."
"ARE YOU KIDDING? Apples to apples is the best game it is hilarious and it describes your personality! I say apples to apples is the best"
Cassy and Alex continue to fight over which game is the best while I sneak their fries from their plate because they are more interested in the debate. By the time their debate is over (Cassy won, she always wins) I have already finished their fries.
"I could have sworn I had fries!" Cassy shouts at all of us. We all give her a blank look and continue to eat.
I decide this is a good time to leave and go throw my tray away. When I get back to the table they are already playing a game.
"Cassy, truth or dare?"
"Truth"
Han gives Cassy a menacing look and asks her a truth.
"Do you like anyone at this table?"
"Yes" Cassy stares him down and smirks at him while he squirms in his seat. Then her menacing look is directed at me. O no.
"Cira, truth or dare?" She says slowly.
"Uggg I hate this game, dare."
"I dare you to kiss someone in this cafeteria."
I give her a wide eyed look and squeak out "chicken." And she rolls her eyes at me.
"Cira you're no fun."
We all laugh at her pathetic look and the warning bell rings so we head to our next class.
**3 hours later**
I get home and immediately decide to take a nap before everyone comes over. But I can't get to sleep. All of a sudden a knock on the door sends me flying off the couch. Who could that be? No one said they were coming early. I go down stairs and open the door to find Alex standing their.
"Sorry I came so early. I just have nothing to do at my house."
"That's fine well do you have clothes and a swimsuit?"
"Yes."
"Great well you can just hang out in the living room if you want or we got the game room upstairs."
Alex gives me no reply and flops on the couch. I shrug and head back up to my room.
