Part Six

Merome's POV

I looked at the green amulet that hung around my fingers. I sighed and shook my head. I thought it was just a dream. I looked at the complexity of the designs, and how it shined every so often. I mean, Seto may know something. As I was getting up, I heard a knock on my door. 

"Merome, it's Dillion." I quickly hooked it around my neck and let it fall down my shirt, the metal cool against my skin. 

"Coming." I called as I slipped my shoes on and walked to my door. Dillion smiled as I opened my door and he grabbed my hand. "What are we gonna do today?" 

"Well, we're going swimming out by the lake. Come on." he picked me up and ran me downstairs. My family was down there and Seto was looking down at the water. I've never seen him swim. I don't even know if he can. He grabbed my shirt and stripped it off, my pink bikini turned green. 

"Merome, didn't I buy you a pink one?" Deadlox asked and I nodded. 

"I think it might be this necklace I found on my desk this morning." At this point, everyone was looking at me. I showed them my necklace as it glowed. I looked over to my right to see Seto's cloak shining purple. 

"Can I see it?" Seto spoke as he walked closer, both things shining a light bit brighter. He touched it and the light disappeared from it. "Merome, do you know what this is?" I shook my head. "It's a very special amulet." He reached in his pocket and pulled out a purple one. "Sourcerers wear them because it enhances their powers." He looked up at my face. "Where'd you find this?" 

 "it was on my dresser this morning but I saw it in my dream last night."  he nodded and looked at it more. 

"His name was Mason. The one who owned this, I knew him well."

"Did something happen to him since you're speaking in past tense?" Dillion asked. 

"He passed away." I frowned. 

"What happened?" he looked up and away.

"It's a long story." He sighed. "I'll explain later." He left. He went inside but i think I saw his eyes watering. 

~Seto's POV~

i had to go inside. I couldnt cry in front of them. I ran to my room and colapsed on the bed. Sobs racked through my body and I felt a pair of arms circling me. I looked back to see those blue eyes that i loved staring at me.

"Baby." he wiped my tears away and looked at me.

"Mason, he's dead because of me." I sobbed into his shirt. His arms wrapped tighter against me.

"No, he's not. Your dad tricked you, it'll be okay. It obviously means something."

"Yea, I know, just I want to know why Merome. She's half vampire but I think Bay would have been a better choice." I mumbled, looking down. 

"There's a reason he chose her. Maybe she's the one that he wants to protect it or destory it." 

"I suppose so."

"Mason thinks like you do, he knows what he's doing." 

"I know. I juist want to know." He gently bit my lip before kissing me. 

"I know." he smiled. "Just calm down and everything will work itself out."
