dead revolution: Chronicles pt 1

Prologue

It began on May 16th of 2014 when this apocalypse started, chaos in every corner of the world. War stopped and now time stopped. The world no longer rotates. the dead arisen from in their tombs to satisfy their impending hunger and it was my fault entirely. Some of them are stronger and look more different than others. I had a plan, a plan unlike any other to fight these beasts. I knew the risks of this experiment and I messed up believing it would work. I, Dr.Fry Johokivitch know of a boy in the U.S. and his friends who can stop this failed experiment due to special chromosomes that lie deeply within them. This is my way of restoring life and human kind back to the way it was. With these teenagers we will have a new hope, a new place to call... home. First we need to find them. We must search and find these kids to end the epidemic.

chapter 1: The Beginning

It was Cameron, Zei, and I yet again walking home. Zei was ranting about his new girl Deasha. He said "she's amazing, but she can be a hand full sometimes. She can piss me off." Cameron said "she is always yelling at Darren" I was too deep in thought to care for the conversation. I thought, why is my life so boring? Will this life get better? As I slipped into a day dream, I was slapped by Zei in the face and he asked "are you ok?" I looked back at him. Slapped him where he slapped Me and said "you know it buddy." My pocket started vibrating. I pulled out my phone and it was my step dad and Cameron's actual father Michael. Zei nosy as usual asked "Who's that Darren?" I answered "It's just Michael. He's probably going to get onto me about leaving the cereal on the counter." It said to "come home immediately" In bold letters. I then knew I must be in trouble.

We took our time so we could have peace before I got yelled at. When we arrived, it was weird. He looked nervous and scared almost like he saw something he didn't want to see. He yelled "Hurry! There's something going on." We ran inside as quickly as we could. Uncle marlon, Zei's father, was sitting on the couch watching fox 4 news. The news caster had said "It is confirmed that these creatures are of a failed joint experiment between the F.B.I. and C.I.A. to give infinite life to the living by using dangerous material that had escaped the lab and infected bugs, animals, and all walking forces of life. Now onto the fie-" Uncle Marlon cut it off. Zei and I looked at each other. Then Zei said "Dad" To uncle Marlon and continued. "Get all the wood and a drill. We need to barricade all doors and windows." I added "We will leave in three days to let the chaos calm down. I'm going to text momma and tell her to go to sinnicas and to barricade the house." Cameron said to Michael "Dad I will help barricade upstairs with you." I grabbed my phone and told my mom what went down. I also texted Kyle, Who's one of my friends, to meet me at the academy in three days. I saw Uncle Marlon take some wood and nail it to the windows and doors. After a while, I got the text from Kyle with an emoji of a smiley face. I thought that has to be the gayest way of telling me ok but, whatever. Then I got a text from momma saying "OK."

3 days passed and it seemed as if it had been years. The wait was torturous. I started wondering, what is going on outside? Will we survive once we get out? All we did was play Xbox, eat and sleep. Michael would watch the news and call momma every chance he had. Zei, Cameron, and I planned to go to the academy. There we could fortify a base since it's a place full of guns and food. With its training area we can stay fit and get stronger. So we believed that is our best bet.

When the final day arrived we started preparing for our leave. Michael comes in and says "Alright we've got to move out as quickly as possible." I thought it'd be best to check the outside since we haven't seen outside in a couple days. I asked Cameron "yo Cameron, could you undo a part of the board and check what's out there?" I gave him the hammer. He took the nail off one part of the board. He looked out and jerked back as quickly as he'd looked.
