Cameron's POV

I don't know what has gotten into me. I saw this girl in the water beside me and I just had to talk to her. She was gorgeous, with blue eyes and blonde hair. I grabbed her arm and asked her if she was okay and she just smiled. Oh that smile just made her 10 times more beautiful. "I'm cameron" I introduce myself out of no where. We just look at each other but it wasn't awkward. Finally she says her name was Carmen. Wow

"I'm about to go put some more wax on my board do you want to come with me?" I ask eager to know more about her. "That would be great" she says smiling so we walk back to the shore.

Carmen's POV

I was walking back to the shore with this guy I just met. But it don't feel wierd I mean he looks normal so I guess I can talk to him. We sit down in the sand and then I just looked at him. I couldn't control myself he was just perfect. "Do you like looking at me" he says with a giggle. "Oh sorry I was just thinking, haha". Oh my gosh Carmen stop, don't be wierd.

"So do you live here?" He says with a smile. "Yeah I just moved here, i used to live in North Carolina so it's a big change but I like it, how about you? "Yes I do, I have lived here my whole life, so how old are you?" He ask "I'm 18, just graduated" "I'm 19" he says with a grin. Why is he grinning, I guess he's just happy that we are about the same age. We just keep talking about ourselves and I tell him that I am thinking on going to am community collage and he talked about how he has a new apartment with 2 of his friends.

"Well it's getting kinda late, i think I should get going it was nice talking to you." I say really not wanting to leave. I pick up my board and walk off. "Wait Carmen!" I turn around and cam is walking towards me. " here is my number, text me and maybe tomorrow I can show you around the board walk and we can grab some lunch." I can feel my cheeks start getting red so I quickly say " that sounds great, I'll text you bye!" When I turn around to walk home I have a huge smile on my face. And it just won't go away. My first day in California has been great.
