Will shot me a glare, straight in the middle of the eye. A long, hard cold glare. Before his voice finally spoke up. "Megan, why now?" he asked half confused half ... well I guess the other half was kind of anger. Maybe? I just simply shrugged, why did I want to talk to Daniel? He had meant nothing to me since we had first met each other, he was too good to be my friend or even like me. He had a perfect life and I didn't want that to be wrecked by my old rough life. Will had pointed me in the directed of Daniel and he was, as predicted, being surrounded by Alice's Gang. Alice had this gang of "good" girls, perfect lives; perfect faces. And then there was me. I wasn't in the gang, I didn't want to be, but I was the kid with the rough life which was different to everyone else's. Everyone said their life was rough too, but they're lying. I've met their parents, probably been to their houses. Their life's weren't as rough as mine. I told the girls to scamper, now, because I wanted (and had to) to speak to Daniel. All four of them stupid little girls stared at me in shock, looked at each other bewildered and then wondered off; leaving us alone. I grabbed Daniel's bags from him and put them on the floor for a minute, before wandering off and sitting down on a mahogany bench urging for him to come and sit down too. He did, within seconds, and soon was brushing his hand through his quiff; Will had told me this was a quirk he did when he was nervous, I had just .. laughed it off.
"S-so?" he half asked, half muttered. But his words were stutters and I could only just make them out, but his South London accent... You're not real if you said you wouldn't die for that.
"Daniel-"
"Dan." he cut me off to correct his own name. His fullname is Daniel, we're not friends.. Probably not even close to being, why correct me?
"Fine. Dan, do you want to I guess meet up at some point.. discuss the Alice situation? Everyone's been turning against you, apart from your friends, and I have a feeling Alice is hiding something.."
"She is. She used me!" he then half screamed, half stated before grabbing my hand and holding it close. "Fifth period break, okay? Music room. I'll catch'a later." Dan quickly said, before grabbing his bags, dropping my hand and walking off. Within seconds Matty came over, questioning look written all over his face.
"You're friends with Dan?" he asked. My answer was a shake of the head.
"No. But I had to talk about him, about Alice. Matty, when's your music room period?"
"Ours? Sixth period and then sixth period break. Our fifth period is our last one of those 'major important' lessons. It's science." Matty responded to my question, then nearly going through our own timetable which I had studied the night before. I just forgot what we had, when our music period was. "Alright. You coming to Science then? Want your stuff?" I asked, confused on if he was coming with me or going with George.
"I'ma go off with George, so I'll grab my stuff then. Who you going with?"
"I don't know, need to get this shit thing over and done with. Might sit next to Marie, she might give me the answers and I'll get out quicker. Daniel's group are in Music Room period now, and usually a few stay behind for our period. Don't they?" I managed to say all my sentence nearly in one jumbled word, leaving me gasping for breath. Matty passed me his water and patted me on the back. "Yeah, Dan's group are in the music room, and do that. We've got the nice tutor today." Matty whispered back, before taking his water and waving goodbye; nearly dropping all of his stuff, leaving me giggling like an immature seven year old.
I managed to get the last twenty-five minutes out of Science, Marie had passed me the answers because she was basically my one of my only friends that had knew me before my life got really rough. Matty was also in that part, he had known me since I was in Manchester; now we were both in London. Typical. Oh, and then there was Alice. But she never seems to care about anyone but herself now. Miss had let me go, she told me to be back before the last three minutes of the lesson; just to check I was still here and fine. I nodded and left class, walking down as fast as I could to the music room. Daniel's class had finished their session five minutes ago as most classes, including his, only used thirty minutes of their music room time. Daniel had stayed behind, tidying away instruments and then sitting down at the old rusty keyboard in the corner, humming and playing some song. I knocked and immediately threw him out of his train of thoughts. Nevertheless Daniel came to the door and shook my hand firmly, telling me to go and sit down with an embarrassed look on his face. The other three boys were there and I immediately bounced over to them, wrapping my arms around Kyle, who was as tall as Daniel. (And Daniel was pretty tall.. Too tall!) He quickly put me down ushering me to go and sit on the swirly chair in the corner, which I quickly ran to and brought back swinging on it like a mad woman. I slowly calmed down, and all four boys started talking to me. About some kind of band.
