I walked out of that station with Micah and Tyler by my side. The detective had finally called me back after the ordeal in the lobby. I answered all the questions honestly, I allowed them to take DNA for the tests, and filled out papers, giving them the legal information that I carried on me. I was told before leaving that the family would be questioned as well, and that they were going to contact someone to keep a roof over my head for the next month. The government officials didn't want me to have any contact with the family until they could determine who I really was, and so on.
I knew a month would drag out, being as slow as ever, but I knew that I couldn't let that be the only thing I have to worry about. I still had work and classes to tend to.
"You okay?" Micah asked as he stood in front of me.
"Yeah, I was just thinking." I say as I look to the night sky. The sky looked the exact same as it did that one night with the little boy.
The little boy!
I gasped, then ran back towards the station, hearing them yell for me. As I rushed through the door, the woman at the front desk popped her head up with a concerned look written across her face.
"Ma'am, is everything okay?" She had her palms planted in the desk as she went to her feet.
I jogged over, crossing my arms as I placed them on the higher part of the desk.
"Yes. No. Wait," I stopped to collect myself. "Yes, I am okay. And no, there was something else I wanted to say. The murder that took place the other day. The little boy in green, I saw him before then! He came up to my hip, green clothes and hat, I saw blonde hair."
Her eyes widen, then she grabbed the phone and lifting a finger up, telling me to wait a moment.
"Da-Dammit, all," I turn back to see Tyler and Micah. "We don't know what to call you right now. But, what's wrong? You just up and ran."
I could hear the woman speaking to someone on the phone, so I moved away from her. They followed me to the water fountain on the other side of the lobby. Their attention was on me, they waiting for me to explain, and I did.
"What? Are you serious?! You didn't get hurt, did you?" Tyler spoke frantically, grabbing my arms and looking at them. I couldn't help but laugh at his actions. Micah just scoffed.
"I'm okay, I didn't get hurt, but I had blood on my pants from where he clung to my leg." I yanked my arms away from him.
I sighed, then got called, "Ma'am, the officer is here. Please explain to him everything that you remember."
I nodded, then looked back to the boys. Micah held his fist up and nodded, a sign for good luck, I assume. I returned the fist with a nod before turning on my heels and following the officer down the hallway again.

I walked out of the room, hearing their thanks, and continued to the lobby once more. As I walked down the hall, I passed by two officers speaking about my case, about what the parents had said. I wanted to follow them, to see if I could figure anything out, but I knew I could have gotten into trouble by doing so.
Once I opened the door leading into the lobby, Tyler and Micah were sitting in the seats with three people standing before them. Both of them were looking away from them. I could slightly hear one going off on them.
One of them was their uncle, meaning the other two may be parents, or relatives. I kept my distance for a while, until Tyler spotted me. His eyes lit up as soon as he saw me. He pushed himself out of the seat and past them. I smile towards him as he made his way over.
