Today was the day. The orientation for the road trip and besides the actual trip this was the thing I was dreading most.

Why you ask? I'll tell you. It's because today was the day I'll finally talk to the biggest jerk in the world. My ex-friend/ virginity taker Atlas.

I walked into the cafeteria looking around to see if I can find him. Walking around I ended up bumping into Shayla.

We talked for a while about the trip and what colleges we were interested until my eyes finally landed on him. Saying my goodbyes I took a breath and made my way over too him.

He was leaning against the wall with a brooding look against his face. That face use to make me swoon since it seemed so mysterious but now I could see that it was just cold and calculating.

"Ahemm"

I coughed trying to get his attention. Quickly his dark blue green eyes slid over to me as I felt chills down to the bone. It's amazing how he still has that effect on me. Even after what happened.

"Hey."

I said with a weak smile as he just rolled his eyes and looked the other way.

"What do you want?"

My face dropped. To think that a month ago he would be smiling and talking my ear off but now he's just a cold and distant stranger.

"I'm hear to talk about the road trip. You know since I'm your partner."

His eyes slid back to mine and narrowed to an inch.

"I don't have a partner."

I gave an arrogant smirk just to piss him off more.

"You do now."

Suddenly he grabbed me by the shoulder pushing me to the wall. I started to panic looking for ways to escape.

"What did you do?"

"Let me go!"

"Damnit Mel just answer me!"

I tried my hardest not to flinch at the nickname as my eyes gradually met with his meeting his gaze head on.

"I didn't do anything, and before you try to change partners it's already too late..."

His gaze softened a bit and he stood back letting go of my shoulder. I rolled it around a bit since it aches from his grip. Still aggressive I see.

"I see... So I'm stuck with you for 2 weeks?"

He said his cold gaze softening a bit but not too much as he would with a friend.

"I guess so."

I said looking down. He cursed under his breath and shook his head before lookin back too me.

"Okay, I'll be at your house with the Rv at 6:00. If your not outside by then I'm leaving."

Before I could protest he already walked away heading towards the doors of the cafeteria.

Well that went well didn't it melody? My conscious butted in. Oh how I hated her sometimes.

8:00, I went to sleep at exactly 8:00 so I could be ready and energized for the first day of this trip but that didn't work out. I was still tired as hell and after two cups of coffee and I was still dreading waking up this early.

At exactly 5:59 Atlas pulled up and I quickly ran to the Rv. As I walked in I looked around around and saw the interior design was more new then the ones in the pamphlet.

"The school bought new Rv's?"

"No, I already have to deal with you and I don't feel like driving in a Rv that smells like weed and used condemns."

"I see."

I said before heading to the passenger seat. As I sat down he eyed me questioningly.

"What are you doing?"

Giving him a strange look I gestured to myself.

"I'm sitting?"

"I know your sitting Mel but why are you sitting up here?"

"So I can help with the navigation."

I said smiling and pulling out map I stored just for this.

"Ever heard of GPS?"

Giving him a glare I straightened out my map more.

"Yes but I like to make sure the GPS system is working right."

Rolling his eyes he turned back to the road.

"Still the same overprotective Mel I see."

My lips thinned. He was really raering my patience thin.

"Still the same asshole Atlas I see."

He looked to me with a menacing glare, then it grew silent. As o was counting all the road signs before suddenly our car pulled up too a hotel.

"Why are we stopping?"

I said turning too him as he took of his seatbelt.

"I'm staying here for the night. There's a pullout bed right over there for you."

He then got out the car and slammed the door shut.

The night went by pretty slowly because even though the Rv couch was nice and cozy I couldn't help but get out my mind that things between me and Atlas were so bad that we couldn't stand to be in the same place with each other for more than a few measly hours.

A/N: Ugh! I honestly love Atlas so much and before you ask "why he's so rude to Mel!" You don't know everything that happened between them. Especially Atlas's part of the the story which you will hear later on in the story. Anyways color in that little star and leave me a comment! Let me know your guesses on what you think caused them to break apart.
