Sarah's POV.

On our way to his bedroom he pushed me against a wall like three times, just to pull me even closer and kiss my neck without being careful about crashing against anything.
Once we got there he layed me down on the bed, took his shirt and seatbelt off and when he finished he looked at me and smiled.

I felt so happy, I really thought there wouldn't be a second time. It seems I liked him.

"Sarah, seriously, you need to stop doing that."

"Doing what, Mi-" I was about to call my best friend by his name. What is wrong with me?

"Mi...mi what?"

"I asked first." Please don't keep asking, please don't keep ask-she sighs, she gave up. Perfect.

"That thing of mentally disappearing. Seriously, it kinda freaks me out. Are you ok? Are you getting enough hours of sleep? Are you worried about your chemestry test? Or is it bec-"

"No, well, I mean ye-yeah, that is." I look at her, she looks confused. I frown and nod. "It is definetly about the chemestry test. I'm super worried."

Great. She does not believe me. I love that because she is my best friend and I know she knows when I'm lying, but now I have no place to go, I have to tell her. She will get mad, he will get mad, they will both stop talking to me an-

"Please, I'm gonna believe the lie you're saying but stop. doing. that. It looks like I'm fucking talking to myself!"

My face turns red-ish.

"I'm sorry, you know I get lost in my mind." A sigh escapes from my mouth. "I'll te-" she cuts me off and I frown slightly.

"Wait. Is this about Jake? Did you two kept...doing that?"

"Nah, he told me he wanted to end the thing we had because her wife woke up from the comma she was into after the accident they suffered a couple of months ago and he loves her more than anything, so he wants to be with her and love her and take care of her and all that. Everything's ok between us tho, we talk every now and then." A smile appears on my face, then I shake my head and I look at her, she is smiling with tenderness. "But it's not about him, it's something...bigger." I take a deep breath and nod slowly, then I whisper "Here I go, hope you don't kill me."

Emily tilts her head. "What did you say?" She rolls her eyes. "Just tell me, for someone's sake!"

My eyes go wide and I lift my hands. "Ok, ok! I'll tell you. It's been really hard for me to hide this from you, and you'll understand why. I hope you don't get mad at me." She says nothing, wanting me to go on. I close my eyes. "It all started a year ago, I was at your pl-"

"Wait, a year ago?" She makes me open my eyes, snapping me from my memories and I look at her confused. "We better go get a coffee or something, I get the feeling this is going to be a long story. Besides, you also have to explain the thing on your head. I like the cut, but we both know you would never do that to your hair because you LOVE it. I'm sure it is related to this story somehow."
