-Matt's POV-

"WHY ARE YOU SUCH A FUCKING FAILURE!?!" My dad screams at me. "YOU JUST RUIN EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE YOU LITTLE TWAT."

"Dad, I'm sorry." I watch him with wide eyes. I'm honestly to frightened to move.

He pushes me into a wall and I hiss in pain as he presses a heavy palm onto my shoulder. I struggle and attempt to kick him as he lifts me from the grounds. I was nearly as tall as him, but my forces against his weight are useless. If I could just manage to kick him that would be perfect, thank god I still have my cleats on. I scratch and struggle against his hands that were curled around my neck, but it was nearly useless to try to pry them away. I can feel the edges of my vision darkening and I refuse to give up to this douchebag, so I continue to claw at him.

"STOP IT YOU STUPID LITTLE FAGGOT." He screams.

"I-I'm" I choke. "I'M NOT A FAG."

"Don't lie to me, kid. I know about you and you're little fuck buddies." He chuckles. I scrape my nails down the side of his face.

"THEY ARE MY BEST FRIENDS" I screech and his grip around my throat tightens. I concentrate on breathing, but it was getting harder.

"I hope you burn in hell. You're a product of the devil."

My body aches as he slams me against the wall and I let out a high pitched scream. Before I can gather my bearings I feel his hard fist come in contact with my cheek and then my left eye. With all my might I kick one of his legs and he lets out a yell of pain as I dig the bottom of my cleats into his skin. I regret that. He repeatedly slams me into the wall and black dots start to fill my vision. Then he suddenly drops me to the ground and hard.

"I'm going to go drink." He says and after a couple of kicks to my stomach, sides and head he walks away and out the door. Just like nothing had just happened.

After struggling to get up I slowly make my way into my room to grab my car keys. What the hell am I supposed to do? If I report the police they won't believe me, because I don't even know where he is. I can't drive forty five minutes to Carters house, besides I think he's still in California. My is head spinning and my body basically willing itself to black out, so I have to figure out where to go.

Jacob.

I make my way to my car basically staggering like a drunk person the whole way there. Everything seems fuzzy and blurry. Hell, I need to concentrate so I can make it to Jacob's house. All of the lights throughout the city looks sketchy and I blink furiously trying to make my eyes focus, but they never do. Soon I pull into Jacob's driveway and once again stagger as I walk to the front door. My knocking was sloppy and I hope that someone at least heard it.

"Hi, Matth-" Mrs.Whitesides starts to say. "What in the world happened to you!?"

"I-I" I slur. "I just need Jacob, Mrs.Whitesides."

-Jacob's POV-

"Mom, who's at the door?" I question looking over her shoulder.

"You're friend, Matthew." She says in a cautious voice stepping away from the door.

"Oh my god, Matty" I whisper.

My eyes sweep over the image of his body and I can't help, but cringe at the poor boy. He had dark purple-ish bruises on his neck shaped in what looks like were from fingers, the left side of his face was red and bruised as well and there was blood dripping from some injury on his head. I was half frightened to ask what had happened to him. What if someone jumped him? All I know is that I have to get him to a hospital, considering the fact that he's swaying back and forth.
