I tried to stop my tears from falling out of my tired eyes, how could this be happening? Everything was so unexpected, everything was so... was so unexpected.
He held my hand and told me to occupy the vacant space beside him, I obeyed without uttering a word. His skin touching mine made shiver, not knowing what was the reason, was it because of what I feel towards him, or because of fear?
"You love me, right?" He asked, out of the blue. I tried to avoid his gaze, not wanting to have eye contact with the man in front of me, but I couldn't. Ha—what the hell, Ynna.
"No." I answered his question, but it gave him no reaction. "You're lying." He protested.
"Then why ask me, if you already know what the answer is?" I scoffed, trying to lessen the pressure I am feeling right now, I don't know, I'm not comfortable knowing what he really is, knowing what he's capable of doing.
"Assurance." He answered shortly.
My eyes were burning, tears were attempting to fall—again. He looked at me, with pity in his brown eyes. He reached my nape and pulled me closer, but I didn't let him do what he was asking for. I tilted my head to the opposite direction, avoiding the heat of his body.
He called out my name but I didn't manage to confront him, he was trying to ask for my attention but I couldn't give it to him.
But then his hand tightened holding my arms which made me want to cry hard. He called my name for the last time with the voice of being irritated and with authority.
"Look at me, Ynna." He commanded.
"I'm scared, Hans. Stop."
"Look at me, godammit!" He raised his voice, and that triggered me to give him my gaze.
His smile was devilish, making me want to escape from his arms. One wrong move, and I'm dead.
"You said you love me.."
"I do, Hans—"
"Then, would you kill for me, Ynna?"
*
"There's plenty of food in the fridge, Hans. If you want some." I raised my voice for Hans to hear me, he's currently in the living room, finishing some stuff I don't know.
He didn't answered, so I continued fixing our bed since he just woke up. I haven't asked him yet about what he did last night, it was late when he came home.
For these past few days, Hans usually comes home at midnight. I'd understand if it's about work, but overtime doesn't take that long. He dismisses at 7 o'clock in the evening, why reach up to midnight?
And, everytime he arrives, his clothes are different from what he's wearing when he leaves. It is somehow, confusing. I'd love to ask him to satisfy the questions inside my head but, he won't answer me, like what he always do.
I settled my thoughts aside in order to finish all my errands for the whole day it's saturday, my only free time but I won't leave the house having rubbish all over the place.
I could even smell an inappropriate odor, but i coudn't what it is. I've asked
Hans about it, but he keeps on saying, "I don't smell it, Ynna. You're getting weird.""Ynna."
I heaved out a deep breathe. "You almost gave me a heartattack, Hans! Why not knock on the door first." Irritation was on my voice, he just popped up at the door which made me want to scream because of him scaring the hell out of me. He was wearing a white shirt and his hair was—I don't know, messy?
