Part One.
(Luke didn't die here after the war)
Luke's POV:
Right now, I'm laying in bed like a sick person. Well, I'm not sick but I'm weak. Too weak. The recent events have drained everything out of me, and I'm so grateful that my friends still accept me, even though I betrayed them. Huge thanks to Annie, Lia, and Perce. It's them who convinced everyone to give me a second chance, and I betrayed them most. Such a traitor I am. Sometimes I thought of ending my life, but my best friends effort would be wasted, so let me stick to living.I just woke up when I heard a knock from the cabin's door. It opened and I saw Annie bringing my meal. I smiled and greeted her. Not long later, a tiny little girl followed in, but she didn't look up. She is surely tiny, I mean short and thin.
Annabeth then start talking to me about my recovery which is going to be done soon. I tried to ignore the petite girl behind, but I couldn't take my eyes off her.
"Anne, I'm really sorry to cut you, but what is the tiny one doing here?" I cut through her talk. Annabeth scrunched her eyebrows and looked behind her. "Oh! Of course, I'm so sorry (Y/N). Luke this is (Y/N), a newbie this year, undetermined, and (Y/N) this is Luke, my best friend," said Annabeth.
"Hi (Y/N). Welcome to Camp Half-Blood, more specifically Cabin 11. I'm the head counselor here, and you're staying here temporarily," I quickly greet the shy girl. She just nods her head without looking up and walked to her assigned bed. Strangely, her bed is just on the other side of the wall, from my bed. So, neither I or she can make lots of noise, eh? Doesn't really matter, I don't even think, she's going to produce a single sound.
Seeing her attitude, Annabeth shrugs and mouthed, "She's weird". I just laughed at her and ate my breakfast and she went out.
~Time Skip~<Dinner>
I'm feeling quite well already, which means I could actually attend dinner. When lining up for the food sacrificial Anne told me, "That freshman is creeping me out. She's so silent, but she takes everything so awfully calm, unlike the normal freshmen. Some didn't even believe it, and she just let it go like that as if it didn't matter. According to Chiron, she's dealing with something that she doesn't want to share, but that something is emotional. Better watch out for her, she seems like the type who would commit suicide." I just nod as she leaves the line going to her table.
After I'm done with my food sacrifice, I went to my table when I realize the newbie isn't anywhere. I quickly ate my food, wanting to check the cabin.
As soon as I'm done , I walked to the cabin, and immediately searched for her. But she wasn't anywhere to be seen. This isn't good. Like Annabeth said, she looks like the type of person who would do suicide. Thinking of those words, I took my sword and journeyed to the forest.
After walking for so long, I found her. But she looked half- dead so I jogged over to the river-side, where she is laying down. Apparently, she isn't dead or harmed, she just fell asleep. She looks so peaceful, like all her burden is carried off, sleeping by the glinting river, under the twinkling stars.
Seeing her like this makes me smile, it reminds me of the old times. I carried her back to our cabin, and lay her in her bed. I realized I had missed the campfire, but it doesn't really matter. I'm just going to say I got tired and decided to sleep ahead.
~Time Skip~<Few Weeks Later>
(Y/N)'s POV:
It's been weeks of me staying here in Camp Half- Blood, yet I'm still not acknowledged by any gods or goddesses that I'm their daughter, which is a bad thing. Rumors start to spread that I'm actually a mortal, because I never show any signs of a demigod. I still have no friends, but I have found a secret hideout since day 1, by the river. It's just so peaceful there.Sometimes, I fall asleep by the river, but the next morning I woke up, I would be in my bed, like magic. Personally, I do everything secretly, going on everything opposite with others lessons.
I have no teacher or guide, but I seem capable to learn myself from observing people doing it. So far, my favorite is sword-play. I've seen Luke and Percy Jackson practice behind the bushes, learning their signature mark or new skill. I usually only fight some dummies at sword-plays so I never really know who can I beat. I've also grown fond with knives. Learning Annabeth's tricks and movements. I have a secret weapon which only Annabeth and I knew, since we picked it on my first day. It was a celestial bronze sword with Stygian iron on the other side.
When I head back to our cabin, my bunk, someone was already waiting. The sand-blonde-haired guy, what's his name again? Uh, Loki? Luki? Loke? Luke? Yeah, I think that's it Luke. I ignored him and proceed to my own business. Mom had always told me not to mind other's business, and stay away from other's business. She died a few years ago, and I haven't forgive her for leaving me into this huge trouble. My life changed a whole lot since she left. Nothing is the same anymore. I have to escape from crazy teachers, and foster parents, etc.
Anyways, I ignored Luke and took my guitar. Now that there's someone in the cabin, I can't play in here, which means I have to go to the river side. But before I could turn, something caught my wrist. Or someone. I looked at my hand and saw a hand wrapped around my wrist. I grumble and tried to pull away, but he wouldn't let me.
I stopped trying and stayed in my position, hoping he would let go. Apparently, he pulled my wrist and walked towards the forest. I stopped in the tracks and finally look at him, not in the eyes though. "What. Do. You. Want." I asked, giving a pause between each word, making sure it was the right thing to do. He snorted and said, "It isn't really that hard to talk, isn't it?"
Luke's POV:
"It isn't really that hard to talk, isn't it?" I asked her. She quickly sent me a glare, wanting to threaten me, but it turns out like she's going to break any moment. I immediately regret those words, but didn't show it, not yet. This girl is really broken, but she just didn't show it.All in a sudden, the girl gave me a smile and said, "I have more important things to do, so goodbye," and she smiled, but it was obviously fake. I just see through her emotions clearly. I pulled back her hand and told her that she isn't going anywhere before I'm done with her. She then asked what did she do wrong, but I just remained quiet.
