All Too Well (Haylor)

Chapter 8

Harry's POV -

A few days later, Taylor was home, without Logan for once. He had a meeting with his agent and manager about some upcoming new film. I had seen Taylor wish him good luck before he left this morning.

I wandered upstairs, knowing that was where Taylor was. I hadn't talked to her in what felt like forever. Knocking on her bedroom door, I put my head round when she didn't answer. Instead of an empty room, I found Taylor sitting on the floor facing me. She held her phone loosely in her hand.

"Do you know what it feels like to get hate for something that happened 2 years ago?" She asked me. Her voice sounded strange.

"I don't think any of us really get the chance to forget stuff that happened in the past" I answered carefully, she was obviously in a weird mood.

"Obviously not" She muttered.

"Why? What's wrong?" I asked.

In reply she held out her phone. It was a video of the music video for 'I Knew You Were Trouble' that was playing on MTV Japan that she had posted on Instagram. All the comments were horrible, either bringing up me or making fun of her. The comments were mostly about me and Taylor, and blaming everything on her, even though it had been me that had torn everything apart.

"I just feel like there is no point in me trying to have a relationship if I just get hate when I'm in it and when it's over" she said, her eyes filling with tears. "It's just all messed up!"

In one stride, I moved next to her and enveloped her in a bear hug. She sat stiffly in my arms for a moment, before collapsing against me. She sobbed into my jumper for a few minutes, and I rocked her gently. Soon Taylor stopped crying, but still we sat like that. She had now ended up on my lap, while my arms had tightened around her. It felt so right to be doing this with her.

Presently she struggled out of my arms, and stood up.

"Sorry about that" She said apologised.

"It's fine, sometimes you need to let all your feelings out!" I replied. "Now how about some hot chocolate and a cheesy film? You can pick!"

"The Vow! Please can we watch The Vow? I laughed at her enthusiasm. "I lost my disk ages ago though."

My laughter faded as I realised that she had left it here when we were dating. We had curled up one night in bed with my laptop and watched it. She had obviously completely forgotten about it when we broke up.

"Oh, um, don't worry. We have it on DVD" I went into my room and grabbed it. Yes, it was still in there. It was the only think I still had that was hers. Well that and the...

"Let's watch it then!" Taylor interrupted my thoughts, as she led the way downstairs.
