Chapter Eleven

"Ah, you look adorable!" I cooed.

Sylvie wore a outfit matching Serena's Sylveon's outfit, and Gem wore a blue version with less frills and more straight edges. Lightning wore a tuxedo.

I cut off a bit of the bottom of the dress. It was very long, but now it reached a bit above my knees. Using the extra fabric, I turned it into a sort of shoulder cape.

"So you're in the tryouts today?"

"Aria!" I exclaimed, turning around.

Aria smiled, and gazed at my dress. "Lots of pink and yellow." She commented.

I blushed bright pink. "Too much?" I asked, tugging at the hem.

"No, perfect. You're up next." Aria replied before stepping out.

"I am?!" I shouted.

"NEXT UP, IZZY ROSE M. AND HER POKEMON!" Aria shouted, dragging me onstage.

I shielded my eyes for a moment. "H-hi." I mumbled. "This is Gem," I pointed to Gem, "Lightning," I pointed at him , then, "Sylvie."

"Nice. So, what's your song?" Aria asked.

I gulped. "Bubblegum K.K."

Aria nodded. "Set it up, and good luck!" She shouted before scurrying off to her seat.

"Sylvie, use fairy wind! Lightning, spark shower!" I said, twirling and hopping around the stage with Gem.

Sylvie aimed, and use fairy blast. Lightning used Spark shower, sending them out to the crowd.

I smiled, and pointed at Sylvie. "Use misty terrian!"

Soon, the stage was covered in thick mist, and we ducked down.

"ESPEEEEOOOON!" Gem sang as she used physic, sending Sylvie and I into the air.

Lightning hopped onto Gem, then Sylvie used her ribbons to grab him, then handed him to me.

"Alright, use Giga Volt Havoc!" I shouted, launching him higher into the air. "Gem, use protect!"

It ended with a bang. Literally.

After we all landed on our feet and bowed, the crowd clapped.

Later

"I missed your performance?" I asked, sitting on a bench outside.

Evey didn't meet my eyes. "Yeah. Why didn't you come?" She replied.

I looked down, digging my fingernails into the bench wood. "Well, you at least made it into showcase performance. You got a license." I said, smiling.

"So did you. And you didn't face plant or sprain a wrist!" Evey mumbled.

"Wait, what?" I shouted, startled. "WHY DIDN'T YOU COME GET ME!?"

Evey scooted away. "Ummm,"

I winced. "I shouted again. Didn't I?"

Evey nodded. "Yeah. I'm sorry. It's just, I've dreamt of this my entire life!"

"Both of us." I added. "And I'm sorry."
