We found a way!

Edward's POV

     It's been almost a month since I've been in this other world, Ive done lots of things. All the while I have been trying to get back home. (Y/N) Has been nothing but helpful although i can tell that she is sad that I will have to leave... "Hey Ed?" (Y/N) asked from the kitchen, she was making dinner. "Yeah what's up?" "Do you think its possible for me to come through the gate with you? I don't have much left in this life." "W-what? Why would you want to come through the gate with me?" "Like I said, I don't have anything left... My best friend is in the hospital and there isn't any chance she will wake up. My parents are gone, i have nothing to live for but if i come with you I can help you. I can finally have... Somewhat of a family." (Y/N) Had finished and she let a tear slip down her face. "I-I think you could jump through the gate with me. But we haven't even figured out a way to open it yet. The only resources we have are the anime manga and side series..." I said. I didn't really want her to come with me, she could still have a normal life. "You-you're my only friend right now, I don't want to be left here with nothing. Without friends." (Y/N) Finished dinner and brought it to me "Here its my specialty, (f/f)!".

(Y/N) POV

     I put on a show and we ate. After we were done I went into my basement, where we try to figure out how to get back. After about 3 hours of research I heard Ed gasp "I found it!" "Wait really!!" "Yeah I think so! You have to draw a specific circle, this kind isn't in Amestris. Then you need these things, and a powerful energy source." Ed was looking through the notes to see if he could find a way to get said energy source. "You need a storm, like a hurricane or tornado or a blizzard. Or maybe..." his voice trailed off "do you have some white and red chalk (Y/N)?" He asked. "Yeah I should gimme a sec I'll be right back." I got up and went to my desk, chalk! Yes there it is "I found some!" I ran back down and tossed him the chalk. "I'll need a few minutes turn on all the lights." He started drawing a circle, it looked like a human transmutation circle but it wasn't all the shapes were different except three, the ones that were on the outside. "Done, go get anything you want to take with you. Like a souvenir or something." Ed grabbed his coat, I went to my bedroom and grabbed the stuffed bear my parents gave me when I was born "okay put it in the middle. Now put your hands on the circle and concentrate on a place in Amestris." The circle started to glow "But what about the energy source?" I asked the light getting brighter "It's an after effect, not something we need." Ed was smiling, then I was transported into a white area "Now time to give your payment to cross the gate." I turned around it was Truth "I think that leg will do nicely!" Truth grinned widely, little black arms started to take me into the portal as my right leg disappeared. After that is all just a blur of everything

Ed's POV

     I was back in the white place with my portal, I pushed open the door and went back. I was spit back into Amestris in front of central headquarters. 'I have to find (Y/N) she's probably lost.' I roamed around central asking people if they had seen her. I had been looking for a few minutes when I hear people shouting "Get her to the hospital! Fast, she's loosing too much blood!" I run over to see what's going on, but to my horror (Y/N) was on a stretcher missing her right leg "Let me go with, I know her!" I said to the people, they just nod and I follow.

~Time skip~

(Y/N) POV

     I woke up to the blinding hospital lights. 'Why am I here? When did I go to the hospital?' I sat up and tried to walk out of the room but was abruptly stopped by my leg, or lack there of. "What the?! When did I loose my leg??!" I yelled, "You were found on the roof of a building with one leg missing, good thing that whoever found you found you quick! A minute more and you would be dead." There was a nurse helping me back onto my cot, "Um, may I ask where I am?" I asked hoping her answer would be somewhere in Amestris, "Your in the Central Hospital." The nurse said "There is a visitor who has been waiting for you to wake up,I'll bring him in now." The nurse walked outside the door inviting the person inside. "(Y/N)! Your awake!" Ed ran over to me, practically jumping on me "Ed! We made it. Did you check back in with every one yet?" Ed stopped hugging me and sat down "No I haven't yet, I should do that. I saw a missing poster with my name and face on it so I guess it was it big deal." He got up "Miss can you get her some crutches please?" Ed asked the nurse, she went off into another room and came out with some crutches "Thanks." Ed set them down next to the cot and helped me up, I figured out how to use the crutches pretty fast. After some walking we made it to central HQ. Ed opened the door showed his pocket watch and went to mustangs office. "Fullmetal, A surprise seeing you here, Where have you been for the last month!" Mustang got up from his desk "And who might this young lady be?" "She's (Y/N) (L/N), a close friend I made while I was gone. Sorry for worrying everybody. I need to take a trip to Resembool I'll be gone for a few days." Ed said and we walked to the train station.
