Chrysalis searched in the trees for any bird nest for the hive, when she saw a stallion limping towards a creek. As she continued to watch him from the trees, he sat down and tried his best to drink the freshwater creak. Once he did, he continued to limp, his head lowered, proving how weak he was. After about ten minutes of following him, Chrysalis managed to get closer to him without being seen. He got comfortable as he laid down on the grass and closed his eyes. This was Chrysalis's chance! As she went up to his face, she sniffed his muzzle, yet he wouldn't budge. She then tried to nudge him awake. Still no luck. She felt for a pulse. Not much. She then lifted his head gently towards his, their horns touching. Chrysalis couldn't just leave him to die, yet she couldn't put him in the changeling pods. She then somehow realized that the stallion wasn't a pony. He looked very different from any ponies she had seen... and, surprisingly very handsome despite his wounds and injuries. She took the limp stallion to her castle, promising to protect him from the other changelings.

Chrysalis laid the stallion in front of a warm fireplace, hoping this would help awaken him. She then took off his cloak and told a changeling to wash it until it was as soft and silky as velvet. Chrysalis then put some bandages around his hooves, making him moan softly. 'Well. I suppose that's progress!'. Chrysalis thought. She stayed by the stallion's side, watching over his every movement. He would often twitch or even mumble softly as he slept, making Chrysalis want to understand what he was saying. She smiled a bit, chuckling a bit. Chrysalis moved his mane away from his face, making him smile in his sleep, and hold her hoof. She blushed brightly, then smiled! She then realized that, he was the stallion she was looking for to be her king! She finally found a king!
