I found my way to my 3rd period class, which was history. I found a seat, and sat down with a sigh. As students poured into the class, a pair of pretty blue eyes found mine. 'Brady.' Brady smiled, and releif washed over his face. He found a seat next to mine.
"So is it safe for me to ask what exactly happened back there..?" He said softly, and I dropped my gaze.
"Sam and I were very close at one point. I trusted him more than anyone because he treated me differently and I liked it. But something happened and he just changed. He did something to me that was terrible, and then he spread these rumors.." Anger boiled inside me and hot blood rushed through my head. "Sam made my high school years in New York hell. And if I had never happened maybe things home wise would be different-"
"I'm really sorry Allison, I had no idea," I smiled at Brady weakly, his apology like a bucket of water settling the flames.
"Don't worry, its not your fault." Brady looked at me, and smiled a pretty, genuine smile. Third period ended eventually, and so did the rest of the day. But when it was over, I was more than relieved to be sitting in the overgrown soccer field grass, with a chance to breathe. Soon enough Brady showed up and sat next to me, and we talked. For centuries it felt like, but it also felt like everything was slowed down too. The feelings were all so new. And soon, Brady said something that made my head spin.
"All that fire in you that has been set by other people Allison, and you still find the sanity to settle it and remain kind to others. I respect that alot," And just that sentence alone made such a big impact on me and how I felt towards Brady. He spoke words like a poet. Brady was himself, a masterpiece. And I knew I could never be good enough for him.
"Thank you," My face flushed red.
"I'm glad I met you, Allison,"
I paused. "Why is that?"
"Because you're not like everyone else,"
"You just met me,"
"And in these few hours I've realized how differently you treat me, even as a stranger,"
"Ah, I see.." Brady turned and looked at me, a small smile on his face as he blushed and turned away.
"But that's what's different about you Allison, is you don't see. You're beautiful and perfect in every single way but you literally have no idea."
"Thank you.." My head was spinning. 'Am I really that perfect in his eyes?'
"Of course." I smiled at him, and he smiled back. I felt a tickle in my stomach as I blushed again and tried to calm the butterflies that swarmed in my body. "Would you like to hang out with me this weekend, maybe I can show you around the town,"
"I would love to,"
"Done, its settled then,"
"So is this a date, Brady Levens?"
"You could call it that," He smiled, turning towards me as we laid in the grass.
"I could call it that? What would you like to call it then?"
"A journey with a princess," Brady reached out, his fingers brushing along my temple and down my cheek bone, then over my jawline and down my neck, where they stopped at my collarbone where my hair splayed out, and he found a strand and intertwined it between his fingers. "Perhaps a Queen," 'My god does he have a way with words, he seems to know just what gets to me and I only met him a few hours ago,'
"Then what does that make you, Mr. Levens?" I whispered softly.
"Lucky," He chuckled, and I smiled at him, happy with his answer.
"You certainly know how to make a girl swoon, Brady,"
"I know how to make a girl laugh too," I paused, looking at him, about to questsion.
"What do you-" But before I could get the words out he jumped on top of me, tickling my sides as I bursted with laughter, trying to push his hands away.
"No! No Brady stoopppp!" I giggled, I tried to push his chest, and he grabbed my wrist, his face hovering above mine as he caught his breath after laughing, and i did the same. I looked up at him wearily, becoming aware of his body on top of mine, causing my face to get hot. Our eyes met, and I felt his grip on my wrists tighten and the heat between our two bodies grow. His legs were between mine, me straddling his waist. I tried not to blush, but failed.
His pretty eyes were truly intoxicating, and so was the feel of his skin when his fingertips traced down my arm. This was all happening so quickly, but nothing in me wanted to slow down at this moment. At the moment where, on my first day of school- the most beautiful person I had ever seen kissed me.
