Thunder crashed along the depressing gray colored sky of a poor, rundown city in the state of New Jersey. It was Friday, the last Friday of the Summer before school started in Bluetop. Many families had their children & teenagers stay home to wish them a good farewell to the start of a new school year.
The Avalon family however, didn't even have a clue where one another was. Amanda Avalon was drinking her busy mother life away at the well known lowlife bar, "Expo's Drinking Bar".
Bryant Avalon was too busy stealing cash from his mechanic job to buy himself a life supply of Budweiser.
Victor Avalon, Amanda & Bryant's oldest was at home, fixing the kitchen remains where his dad would beat the living crap out of his 16  year old little sister.
Vanity Avalon was walking anywhere but home. She usually would roam the streets with her friends, but all of them were inside their homes, happy, carefree, and most importantly together...at least that's what Vanity thought.
"Ugh! Why can't my family be happy like Val's, or loving as Justin's, unified like Daniel's, forgiving like Christina's, and together like everyone else's in this stupid ass, ghetto town"! I yelled out into the open where clearly no one would hear me. Just a few seconds later, I heard multiple voices of laughter coming from the nearby alley, I quickly took out my pocket knife I stole from my father, and stood still as the laughter got more near by the second. When I saw someone's shoe I immediately jumped in front of them..."stop it right there and don't touch me, I'm armed"! "Chill for a moment would you Vanity?" said a girly, soft voice. I recognized the voice right away,it was my best friend Val with my boyfriend Daniel,Christina,Justin, and others I didn't know. "What are you guys doing here?Aren't you supposed be having that fancy dinner like everyone else in town?" The four allies i trusted the most burst out into evil laughter. "What's so funny guys?" I asked with confusion. "We're laughing at how dumb & nieve you are" said Christina. "Excuse me?" I was so confused at this point at why she would say something like that, when she knew well I was bullied and abused at home by my own parents. "Maybe our actions will speak louder than our silence" winked my loving and handsome boyfriend. I didn't know what that meant until I got hit in the stomach by what I think was a baseball bat. I also got my pocket knife snatched from my hands by Val who viciously slashed my face. After that my eyes saw black.
