As soon as I left my soulmate - to - be, I rushed towards my house. I just got my key out from the purse, when I saw the door opening itself! Kind a scaring right? And that even at night?
Basically, it was my Dad.
I was kinda afraid of him for he could ask what I had been doing outside at night.
Watching me with a puzzled face, he exclaimed, “Move aside, there's an urgent meeting to attend!” I was like “huh” !
Stepping forward to my bedroom, I had to face someone. Who? Of course my Mum, who else could be there to face for this only child in the bungalow?
Conversation with Mom.
Mum: “Where had you been since 3 hours?”
Alexa: “I was on a nightout with Joel.”
Mum: “But why........?”
Alexa: “What is meant by *why* mom? I go occasionally! ”
Mum: “I mean why you didn't tell me?”
“Everything was planned so fast that I had not a single minute to notify you! ” expressed I !
“Okay, but beware of next time!” Mom warned me.
“Mummy, I want to discuss with you something, NO, A LOT of things!”
“Surely my dear, okay so today Dad has gone for meeting, he would arrive tomorrow, so come and sleep with me tonight.”
After I lied upon the bed with Mom.
“Okay mom, let's get started!”
“Sure honey!”
“Mum, I believe that yes, our two closest relatives have been passed from this world. And that's really really sad."
“Of course my dear.”
“But that means that we should show sadness, and give condolence to their family.”
“So that we're doing.”
“Come on Mom, it's been a month now! Jesus has not asked us to show the support to the family of passed souls by stopping marriages when it has been a month since then."
“My dearest, by this, we're showing them that we're equal among their trauma"
“But we can have prayer sessions, or we can go to them frequently to console them."
“That's right, but why are YOU hurrying so much for the wedding?”
“Joel told me today that he has an important meeting in Singapore and that he will go there on 3rd January. And it's 25th October & even now we have no preparations done!”
“No! He's going on 27th Jan, right?”
“You're right at some extent mom, because he WAS going on 27th, he's NOW going on 3rd, because the parties that had to come later on, are reaching earlier, so there is a chaos & Joel's reaching there to handle everything!”
“Really? Well, we'll talk to Dad tomorrow.” For now, you sleep sweetheart! I'll definitely inform him of this”
“But please, you'll talk, tomorrow means tomorrow! I'm serious!”
“Yeah honey, but for now, it's better to sleep, it's quite late.”
“Yup! Goodnight Mommy!”
“Goodnight!”
