Dark Empire: A STAR WARS (Fan Fiction) story Issue #1: The Warning

Part 2: The Mission

     As the Black Squadron was leaving the Dreadnought's Hangar, The Shuttle activated its stealth mode and entered Korbun IV's airspace. "Sir, the shuttle's scanner is getting a signal from a structure around us, I think its the Resistance Base sir." said Black Squadron Technician Jaruln. "Yes thats the base, since its the only structure on this planet." said Lieutenant Resz. "We're almost there Commander, I suggest the men get ready now." Said the Pilot. "Troopers, you heard the man, grab your blaster, load em up, and get your other weapons!" Said Commander Orion.

     As the ship landed near the Resistance Base, Commander Orion and his men slowly and carefully approached the Resistance Base through Korbun IV's forest-like landscape. "Commander, I spot 15 Honor Guards." whispered Sniper/Weapons Specialist Cren. "I spot 4 sentry turrets, 2 Heavy Soldiers, and 7 Standard class Soldiers." whispered Lieutenant Resz.

     Commander Orion holds a thermal imploder explosive and looks at a shield generator. "Resz, tell the pilot to fire at the turrets once i blow that Shield Generator." said the Commander. Resz goes on comms and tells the Shuttle's Pilot Commander Orion's orders. Orion throws the Thermal Imploder at the generator and detonates it, making the generator tower fall on the hangar of the Resistance Base.

     The Black Squadron's shuttle flies over the base and successfully shoots down the Anti-Infantry and Anti-Aircraft turrets.

     Commander Orion sneaks up behind the worried and confused Resistance soldiers and melee attacks them with his martial arts skills, and then he grabs his Personally Customized TL-50 Heavy Repeater Blaster Rifle from his back holster and shoots the remaining Heavy Resistance Soldiers, while Lieutenant Resz uses his Katana-Style Vibroblade and takes out the 2 sentry turrets.

     "Cover us from any incoming reinforcements from there Cren." said Commander Orion. "Sure thing sir." said Cren as he continues shooting at other incoming Soldiers in the head.

     As Orion and Resz enter the base, Resistance Combat Droids start activating and attack Orion and Resz.
"SHOOT AT THEM WILL YA?!" shouted Resz in panic. Orion shoots at the droids but stops shooting after a laser bolt almost hits his head. "RESZ I CANT DO THIS ALONE! CAN YOU PLEASE SHOOT AT THEM TOO?!" shouted Orion. Suddenly, laser bolts start hitting the droids in their heads.
"Cren, was that you?" said Orion to Cren through comms. "Yeah its me. I just positioned myself near that place and started....shooting." said Cren.

     Orion finds a data computer in a control room and takes some useful data from it. "I thought our mission was to destroy this place, not take some data." said Resz. "What if the Dark Empire could use this?" said Orion.

     After Orion and Resz were done with eliminating the soldiers in the base, they started planting bombs in the base's power generator. "We have the bombs planted and ready to blow, LETS GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE." said Commander Orion.

     As they arrived at the shuttle and boarded it, the shuttle ascended from the ground but still in the airspace of Korbun IV for there is a battle in the sky between a Resistance Cruiser and the Dark Empire's starfighters. The Black Squadron's Shuttle is forced to join the dogfight and assist other Dark Empire fighters. "FIRE ION TORPEDOES AT THAT CRUISER WHILE I CALL LORD SLAYER FOR THE "BLACK DEATH" DREADNOUGHT!!" shouted Orion.

      Meanwhile....The Black Death Dreadnought would emerge from hyperspace and enter the airspace of Korbun IV and it would start firing its Turbolaser Cannons and Ion Cannons at the Resistance Cruise, making the Cruiser's engine systems fail and start crashing down onto the surface, but there was only one escape pod that launched from the Cruiser before it crashed.

     "There is something.....in that escape pod." said Darth Slayer. "I sense.....something....strong in the force."
